Really nice presentation! Always a delight to see someone talking about vacuum systems. I had a question about the gaskets you use at the mating surfaces for your flanges of your main chamber and the interface between the pumps. Are they the same or do you change them out based on your need?
Thanks for the question! We use copper gaskets for all conflat flanges. This is needed to achieve UHV conditions. For roughing (lower vacuum) conditions we use quick connect KF flanges with viton O-rings.
