Hey there ElectroBOOM! I would love to recieve a keysight, last year I picked up electronics as a hobby and build interesting stuff from time to time. So far I built a simple robot that follows light, a quadcopter (after many tries and failures lol) that actually flies, and I'm in the process of building a 3D printer. I would certainly find a good use for a keysight, and that would only motivate me to create more and more! I found your channel seeing the electric guitar video, and to be honest I had no intentions to get educated from that. Your videos are put together with a very interesting approach that makes the knowledge fun. "here at keysight I like to charge my phone in the most expensive way possible, I am definitely on some sort of list now." [light flashes off his clean white smile] (chime sound)
Oooh... me and my roomate at college are both studying Electrical and Computer Engineering and it would be awesome to have an oscilloscope in the room to test stuff (without having to take a 20 minute walk to the lab lol) GIMME THE KEYSIGHTT please
Another thing to mention was that USB devices, particularly more recent ones such as smart phones require voltages in the terminals aside from Vcc and GND to charge, so that the charger can communicate with the phone. The first time I tried to make my own USB charger, I connected the Vcc and GND wires of a USB cable to a power supply, with a LM7805 (as the power supply only offered 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 V). The device said it was charging, but the battery capacity percentage did not go up (iunno how to word it). It wasn't until I broke apart a car USB adapter and connected the inputs to the power supply that the device charged properly. (All of this was for a Bio - Mechanical USB charger for my Design and Technology HSC, which I didn't manage to complete in the end anyway, but because it was accelerated, it doesn't matter too much regarding my final mark in year 12. Aside from that, PLEASE GIFF THE SCOPE AND I'LL MAKE YOU PROUD BY (NOT FAILING) PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING (Hopefully. I've lost quite a bit of hope after failing to complete my Major Design Project).
Yep for compliant devices you only need to short the data lines (D+ and D-) together to enable 1.5/1.8 amps. Non compliant devices are different. For instance Apple uses 2.1 and 2.8 volts on the data lines for 1 amp and 2.1 amps. From experience an iPhone will accept power from a shorted data line source, though this may depend on the iOS version. Not sure.

My university team was 22nd in urc2016 and 32nd place in urc 2017 because the team leader didn't get visa and couldn't go to USA , the team fell apart without him . I'm participating next year , so give me that scope so we can prepare/test our robot better and be in top 10 . Gimme , give it to me pls.
I was expecting the paper to electrocute you in 3:28
and I was expecting you to say plastic not paper
I did not see that -_-
Give me the Keysight.....
I want the oscilloscope....
I have no money to buy it. I am researching about sound waves and electric fields
Yeah, but other cell phone chargers also do the job. The kgb grade model is “not your mama’s cellphone charger”.
Dude, you're making me love keysight!
"here at keysight I like to charge my phone in the most expensive way possible, I am definitely on some sort of list now." [light flashes off his clean white smile] (chime sound)
Oooh... me and my roomate at college are both studying Electrical and Computer Engineering and it would be awesome to have an oscilloscope in the room to test stuff (without having to take a 20 minute walk to the lab lol) GIMME THE KEYSIGHTT
please
You could always pick up something like the Bitscope micro to play with.
I got 2 in my highschool robotics and engineering lab
Since 2-3 years I had doubt about thio joe thank you so much for informing
You're not very clever if you have *doubt* about him. All his videos are stupid af hilarious parodies.
4:06 the cut-in of your voice acting scared me so much, it was like a jumpscare
😅
Gimmi dat keysight!!
Nothing like watching electroboom laying on my pillow at midnight 🤗
5:55 xD your a funny and smart guy. lucky me that i found you.
Thanks For Educating us with Failures
Thanx for all information
.
Just stay alive
Lol
4:13 everyone breaking news there has been a mad scientist who made a paper magnet
Holy shit. Mindblown.
Nothing like a good osciloscope to help me cook sausages at my homemade sausage fryer coil, gimme it! If i get it ill post videos of the coil fryer
The shirt rectifies your personality to be constant and not fluctuate!😂👍
Not sure.
I love videos of you reviewing ultra fake stuff, always fun to laugh! Thanks 😊
ThioJoe looks baked.
Sources: I'm baked.
My respect for Mehdi who risks his life proving the truth and importance of electricity.
