Amazing unboxing and presentation video of the 3A. I love that you actually wind up shooting the roll that was in the camera. From what I can see, it has the Rapid Rectilinear and goes from f/8 (4 on the aperture dial) to f/45 (128 on the aperture dial). At 4:38 you show it about to be laid on its side. There is a little foot on the left side of the lens-bed that you can push out so it sits completely level. I just bought a 3A, and I wish I had the dual-spring mechanism to lock the lens in place. Mine has the coupled rangefinder, but the lens-board slides back and forth because the little flip-up locking mechanism is no longer strong enough to lock the lens board in place.
How has the camera been, and do you still use it (whether with found 122 or as a panorama camera?).
    Thanks!
    Jason

At. 7:20. I said that there was no little foot but there IS one next to the focus scale.

Love the video, where do you get film for it!

You have to make it. Printing paper may be used. Other sized negative may be cut to fit. I save backing paper. 70mm film would work. Lots of fun projects.

I have one like this, but the mechanism that holds it to the rail has come apart; do you know if that just snaps in place? I dare not try that and break it further. I'm referring to the small lever and plate that is visible at 3.43 in your video. I am so disappointed--really wanted to play with this. It was my grandfather's. In beautiful shape except for that one flaw.

It slides onto the rails from the front

@@MichaelCarter thank you. Mine has come apart unfortunately. The small lever with the ball has come off so I have 3 small pieces not attached. I can see how it attaches, but am afraid it doesn't 'snap' together. Good luck to me finding someone to repair it! lol. I love this camera, it's gorgeous. Thank you for the reply.

I inherited one from my aunt after she passed. It is a "No. 3A folding pocket kodak model b-5" S/N 26486" that was made in Toronto, Canada.
I have been trying to figure out when it was made and which location in Toronto that it was made in? Any site that you can direct me to to answer my question?
    Thanx!

Question - when you are folding it does the camera rail fit over or under the one in the base?

    • @MichaelCarter

      I don't understand

Michael Carter - I got it back in - it slides on top of the rails on both sections of tracks. Thanks for the quick response :)

I just got back into film photography and picked up two 3-A's and a model H . I'm interested in anything about film mods.

Just sayin' ~ that's not the original strap. Original strap would be wider and have KODAK stamped in the leather.
