The UltraLight delivers powerful suction on floors, along with the self-cleaning brushroll to eliminate hair wrap as you clean. When you’re done, emptying is a breeze with a removable dust cup and easy-to-clean filter. Just like your house, even these vacuums need a little TLC for a long-lasting life.

    Thank you for this. I'm renting a vacation home and could not figure out how to reinstall the dust cup on their vacuum without this video!

    I had NO idea that you are supposed to detach the parts to store it and that little hook at the bottom was to hang the unit onto itself. I thought it was for hanging the whole vacuum on the wall upside down somehow. I have been so frustrated with storing it because it keeps falling over but omg this tiny nugget of info is a game changer! If it weren't for the last five seconds of this video I would have never known about this trick!!! This was obviously also very helpful in understanding how to maintain the filters. lol

      Omg If it weren't for reading your comment I wouldn't have known how to store the vacuum, I also struggle keeping it standing 🤣🤣

    This is the most useful video I've found on how to clean this unit. Thanks so much! I presume it's important to keep the meshed cone dry when rinsing out the dust cup? I'm concerned about rust 🤔.

    I can't get the filter grill off. It's very tight, and I'm afraid I might break it if I pull too hard on it. In the video, it comes off so easily. Am I supposed to push/pull/slide or do something to make it come off?

      @@paytonweinman3870 I did get it off. I yanked it off. There's really no trick to it. Just pull and ease it off. I did it several times, thinking it might make it easier, but it's still not easy. I love this vacuum, but I think there's room for improvement here. The grill hasn't broken, though, so maybe it's stronger/flexible than it looks. Good luck!

      I can't get it off for the life of me. Because it is plastic im scared i might break
      it. Ive tried to loosen it all around and nothing. Should i put lubricating oil on it?

      @@kiwisun529 I had the same issue. In the end, I just yanked it off. I've done it several times now. I guess it has gotten a little, just a little, easier. It hasn't broken, so maybe it's stronger or more flexible than it looks. But I think the design should be improved.

    And here I was thinking I had to replace them, I didn't know they were washable! Assuming I am washing them every 9 months, what is the lifespan of the filter?

    • @SharkHome
      @SharkHome  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @humanerror7! The pre-motor filters should be replaced every 2.5 years. While the post-motor filter should be replaced every 3 years.

    How do you clean the stick? Between the bottom and the filter

    • @SharkHome
      @SharkHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Clarisa - if there is something blocked in the wand, you may need to use another object to push the blockage out, depending on how far it is inside the wand. You can also try loosening up the blockage, then turning on the vacuum so it gets sucked into the dust cup. Hope this helps!

    FOR EVERYONE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE POST MOTOR GRILL FILTER OFF:
    loosen the sides of thr grill and then yank it off or use a screwdriver to pry it off. It will come off, just not easily. And be ready for a dust cloud when it pops off uncontrollably.

    So the post motor filter, is it supposed to be between the two plastic pieces that come out or is is supposed to be closest to the body of the vacuum with the two pieces on top of it?

    • @SharkHome
      @SharkHome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emily, the post-motor filter is located on the top of the unit where the Shark logo is printed.

    Ew dude why wouldn't you just buy new filters? I would never put a dirty filter underwater in my own home. Do you not understand what mites and parasites can do in water? Gross gross gross gross gross?

    • @kayladonnrichardson7384
      @kayladonnrichardson7384 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They're designed to be reused. It would cost like $20 a month to buy new filters all the time, especially if you have pets and have to clean them more frequently.
