I remember we stayed at Reethie Beach Resort (a resort island) and every day at 6pm, the cooks will give the staff the rest of the fish to throw in the sea. All the huge sharks, stingrays/mantras, and other big fishes will come and eat. Absolutely amazing!
This island is so beautiful I love the Maldives I haven't been there yet it's definitely my number one place to go to and I like the fact that you stated a bougie Hotel in the last video and now you're staying at an Affordable hotel

Hey Chris and Carol! Another fantastic Vlog. Super chill! You make me feel A little bit like I’ve been there. 🤗 There is no other way I would see this. If you’re looking for sharks at the a dock, you’ll usually find them if there’s a public fish cleaning station. Or where the fisherman clean some fish. If there are no sharks there at the moment, if you make some banging noise in that spot they will come. How’s that for a thought!😂 those were nurse sharks at the dock. Not exactly a dangerous shark, but they do have teeth. But those small sharks were black tips! And although they aren’t the most aggressive. They can be aggressive. And they do have sharp teeth. 😐 And they can see you as clear as day! And if your toes are in the water, you’re in their territory. Is the plant a ‘ie’ie? If so it’s in the pandanaceae family. Love when you guys point out the plants!
Thank you for the budget experience. I think the baby shark you saw was a juvenile blacktip. They are not very big and you will find a lot of them in Maldives.

The day costing 100$ is all well and good. However adding the cost to get to and back from the Maldives, ( around 3500€ per person) it works out more expensive than many resort islands for a holiday. We're flying from Germany on 15 June for 14 days, to Filitheyo, and half board for 2 people is around 4800€ with Emirates.

Wow! You guys are on a local island. Budget-wise it is great! But for alcohol drinks, you can’t drink alcohol. And also women can’t walk in skimpy swimwear/ outfits. I really prefer the resort island. I can’t be on holiday and not have a delicious cocktail and champagne.

The speedboat that you guys took because you missed the ferry is very interesting it's an hour and a half away from Male airport... I live on Long Island in New York and for me to take a ferry to go to Connecticut it's about an hour and a half to cross the sound to get there and you guys are taking a speed boat that takes an hour and a half which means that it's a lot further then I am to Connecticut lol because the speedboat would go a lot faster than a regular fairy I just thought you'd want to know that❤
I heard you mention William Taudien and his videos. I've been following him for over 2.5 years' e is good, yet sometimes not. He has been sick for over 2 months while he's been living and Vlogging in Mexico. I just found Drew Binsky, a young Vlogger, who's has over 3 million subscribers. I think he started in 2017. He goes to many different places, like Afghanistan, Iraq ,Iran, and many African countries. He has made some 1 hour Documentaries on different countries. He' American but is married to a Philipina woman and lives there.

Last month I stayed on the island of Maafushi in the Maldives at a hotel I found on Booking for $31USD/night including a complimentary breakfast. This island was very nice and you could walk around it in 30 minutes. There was one bikini beach and several other pristine white sand beaches. Maldives on a budget is definitely possible!!
i will wait for your vlog to Balabac Palawan. I think your jaw will drop how to witness the so called 50 shades of blue in Canibungan island, also Onuk island is extremely turquoise. Promise it's different blue than other blue waters that you witness before.
@@jorgemontecillo3715 You don't get the point. Balabac has more or less the same topography as the Maldives, but Maldives will still be superior beach wise. The spectacular beaches are simply abundant and consistent. Don't feel bad, Philippines is still beautiful.
@@rhp5239 lol ofcourse Balabac is a small town and unexplored places. Try to compare it to kalayaan group of islands/spratly then compare it. Beach wise spratly group are more unexplored and more pristine
The only two vacations we went on a budget, first one we got robbed by the hotel staff and the second we all got food poisoning and the rooms were mouldy. I can’t say I will ever have the courage to go in a cheap hotel again.
@@emakelley6807 the robbery happened at white sands hotel in negril Jamaica, it was obvious it was orchestrated by the staff, that was 9 years ago, and the food poisoning and mould was at costa caribe in Juan dolio Dominican Republic in 2015. Although I have heard of bad stories everywhere so perhaps “cheaper hotels” aren’t the reason, I’m making excuses to go to nicer resorts 🤣

It's sad to see all the development in the islands (4-story buildings as the drone showed) but I know every single paradise on earth has a short life span as more people discover new places, buy land, and build. It's happening in Costa Rica and Bali too. Great video guys.

I visited the Maldives in 2018 stayed in Male and Vilamendhoo private island and the use of drones was not allowed. Good to see it’s changed now.

The Alien Brain fruit is actually pandan they make bread from it in Philippines and I had pandan ice cream almost every day I was there

Depends on where you are coming from, not everyone is going from germany. We flew there for $300 one way from Bangkok

Don’t oversell Balabac. They already are in the Maldives. Check the Maldives on google earth and you’ll understand.
