Yeah, that's the point. Lord Burbrook was Daphne's only option, because Anthony overstepped and drove everyone else away. He drove everyone else away and chose one of the worst options of them all, because he was looking at worldly things instead of character, personality, how they feel about each other etc. Atleast it comes from a place of love and care, even though his judgement skills are quite bad here. First Season Anthony is very immature and dumb, but he will learn and grow over the episodes.
