  • HI!
    In spring 2021, I moved to South Korea, Seoul to study at Hanyang University for one semester. This journey was new and exciting for me because I got to travel alone for the first time, not knowing what I would expect in the new country on a different continent. I hope you enjoy your time watching this new chapter in my life. Also, don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel to get the next videos on time :) Thank you very much!

      You will do well no worries but maybe you can look at the *Talk To Me In Korean* website, where they have one free pdf of all their levels. It has a short explanation of grammars and vocabulary, which might help you. I actually practiced with that before my classes started. Wish you luck 🍀☺️

    hii!! :3 so glad I came across your channel, I'm going to Hanyang for the fall semester this year!! I was wondering, for the intensive language course if I took that would it count towards the full-time study load or is it an extracurricular you can undertake on the side along with your selected major? I'm just concerned cause my major (music) doesn't offer many courses taught in English :/

    • @sedisadi76
      @sedisadi76  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Glad to hear that. I would advise you to talk with your international coordinator regarding language courses because it might be different in each university. Mostly language courses are the extracurricular/free choices you take on side but your university probably can guide you better 😊

    Currently I'm 16 years old and studying at college in Europe. I've been interested in this university for a while now and wish to attend after graduation, but some things have been unclear to me so I would be really thankful for answers. First question, at what age do you attend university in Korea because in my country you attend when you're around 25 years old and from other videos I've seen it appears that they attended another university and studied at Hanyang university over the summers. Is it possible for one person to go there during the summer and take courses even though you don't go to another university in your home country? I really wouldn't want to wait until I'm older than 25 to go there lol. Also are there other courses in English? I've thought about taking Korean language courses and perhaps even study korean history. Are the korean history courses available in English or are they only in korean? Thank you so much for spending your time reading this, I really liked this video btw you've earned yourself a new subscriber:)

    • @sedisadi76
      @sedisadi76  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Thank you for watching and subscribing to my Channel 🥰 to be honest I never heard about the age limit for university so as long as you meet the qualifications, then university’s door should be open for everyone. Myself, I attended Hanyang as an exchange student by the age of 23 and met many people with mich younger age so in that case there should’t be a problem. You can get scholarships to study bachelors/master/doctoral and even summer school, otherwise you have to pay for it, which is around 1200-1400€ per language semester (3months) but it again depends whether you go as an independent language student or an exchange student. You can study both major/minor and take language courses on side but i would guide you to your principal or korean government/embassy page for more details for students. I hope my explanation is somehow clear and useful but if you have other questions, feel free to comment here and later on I will answer to all questions about language course in a new video ☺️

    • @sedisadi76

      Haven’t heard about off campus dorms but there is a building near Hanyang called Hanyang Habitat, which rooms are very small but not expensive (~750,000won). Sharing a place with friends will be much cheaper for example in Airbnb but you have to search a lot for it.

      Korean courses are 3 credits which equals to 6 ECTS (1 Korean credit= 2 ECTS) so you actually need 5 courses. It depends on the host University if they allow their exchange students but at least in Hanyang, as long as it was in English and somehow related to your major, then it was okay, except Korean language course. Of course they won’t allow it if you pick medicine or engineering if your major is Business.
