I grew up in an IFB church and also attended the school there. The emotional damage done is something I am just now beginning to truly see and deal with and I’m almost 50. Thank you for this video. You are spot on.

After listening to your explanation, I am convinced that I wouldn’t want to attend an IFB church. Years ago I attended a Baptist church pastored be an angry man who made it a practice of driving out people whom he deemed to be unsaved. He was a hardline Calvinist, and he preached in an angry tone of voice that drove us away. Now I attend an independent church led by a very loving couple, and my soul is nurtured and healed.

I can relate. I grew up in IFB, my dad was a deacon, we never missed a service. I didn’t get saved until I left home and went into the Navy. It was all about the rules and not sincere christianity, so I just assumed that I was saved all those years of following the rules. My wife has been helping me see how “judgemental” I had been because of it. The past couple years I have been growing closer to God because I have been studying the Bible for myself, asking the Holy Spirit to teach me. I can’t believe how many “doctrines “ the IFB held that were not Biblical, just opinions. We have recently joined a church that is currently IFB , but the new pastor assured me he is not going to make the same mistakes, as he has had some of the same experience in the past. Just allow God to work in your life, Jesus said “let no man deceive you” . Get in His word daily. Thanks for the video.

This has already blessed me and I'm only 16 minutes in to it:):) Thank you so much for sharing your story! My family and I were in a SBC affiliated church for 7 yrs. after a couple yrs of seeing red flags, we started going to an IFB church. We knew the pastor/his family. It's taken us 3 yrs to realize some of the rules and teachings are unbiblical and cultish!!! On the surface, it seems just like personal preferences. But now we see it's deeper than just preferences!!!!!!! So, we are praying and waiting for the Lord to take us out of there. For over 2 yrs, my teenage daughter has been struggling with assurance of her salvation. And a bit more than a year for me.....because of the contradictions in the pastor's sermons. Please pray for us. thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love and hugs to u from North Carolina!!

Saved through an IFB church when I was 18. Taught and trained for 12 year's. Moved and joined a Missionary Baptist Church. Rejected for not following three Bible. Over the next 15 years, belonged to 3 more Independent churches, some of which were quite different.
I have to say your analysis is very accurate. And the attitudes can interfere with growing spiritually, and serving God. Thank you for sharing and being open and honest. You see much with a clear eye. Godspeed brother.

I love your video. I was in a IFB pastoral abuseive relationship for 15 years. Nothing physically, all emotionally and spiritually. It was so bad, I almost killed myself. I was a IFB evangelist for 10 years until my former pastor called and bad mouthed me to the pastors that I preached for. None of those pastors in the 20 churches that had me come and preach for them, talked to me anymore. All for questioning my former pastor on one certain subject that he could not prove it from God's Word. I have not been in church for 3 years because of this and many,, many other things throughout the years. I am afraid of going through the same things again. Please pray for me about this.

I learned this a few years ago but wish I learned it a lot sooner...do not let others kick you out of ministry. Not that someone can actually kick you out but is more along the lines of not quitting ministry because of what others do to you or say to you. In essence, this is what happened. Perhaps that pastor could not kick you out of ministry but what happened is he got you to kick yourself out of ministry. Might be hard to hear but as I said, I wish I learned this years ago when I left Bible College-wish I had someone share this with me.

I grew up in an IFB church but it was entirely different. It was back in the 60’s. It was Christ centered, without all the man made rules. The pastor did not follow Hyles who I think poisoned 🤮 the Baptist Church. A lot of child molesters, rapist, abusers every other dredge from Hell go right back to Hyles. His son in law is in prison for having sex with a minor for months. His son had dozens of affairs while he was pastor at 2 different churches. All that hateful yelling and crucifying other Preachers is not of the God of The Bible. This guy here is right.

I’ll never go back to an IFB church.

So many good points in your talk - too many to comment on each and every one. You really resonated with me when you said you placed more importance on being Biblical above being Baptist. Some of my profs (former IFB pastors) from my IFCA Bible College said the same thing.
My wife and I tasted a little of the abuse on visits to IFB churches. Once I was introduced by the pastor as a visitor but they failed to mention I was there with my wife - a total snub. We confronted that pastor (a BJU grad) after the service. He only made it worse by trying to show a false interest in her background. What a crash and burn that was. Another church where the retired/former pastor was very cordial in greeting members he used to shepherd but became red and stone-faced when it came to us as visitors. I figured it out. My wife was wearing pants. That was the end of my interest on joining up with the IFB's after graduation.
I like you, Matt. We think alike. In a different reality, we could have been friends.

100% spot on. After 50+ years in IFB we have never felt more free since leaving. As parents that “allowed” our children to be educated in public schools, we were worldly and ruining our children. Amazing how our children have become very successful adults and most of the Christian School educated are barely making enough money to survive or even still living at home at age 30 and 40.

I was raised up southern baptist. While searching the scriptures I realized that the doctrine for Baptist’s did not line up with the Bible. While studying Gods word I came to the knowledge of Jesus Christ that He only established 1 church. Ephesians 4:4-5. When I obeyed the gospel and was baptized the Lord added me to His church the body of Christ.

After growing up in IFB church I finally escaped with my family 14 years ago. Thank goodness my kids didn't get very much exposure and went into public school when we moved to another state. My dad starting pastoring a similar type church 20 years ago and I tried to watch some of his sermons on TH-cam starting a few years ago. He focuses a lot on end times and how bad the world is getting as well as railing against LGBT community. Ironically he has two gay grandchildren. He finally has a church that he has molded into the exact version he likes and everyone else outside his tiny acceptable circle is just wrong.

I guess I’m lucky. I left the SBC and joined a very small IFB church. What you’ve described is not what this church is like. My pastor is not a loud fist pounding preacher. I joined this church because everyone there was so welcoming and supportive. We all have issues and our burdens are each other’s burdens. I know men can mess up God’s will in so many ways. I will say, many of the churches I went to in my area and it was more like a social club than a place to learn about God. We often have times when we have questions about something and our pastor will normally put his sermon aside and we have an open discussion so we can learn, we sometimes don’t agree. I hope your church continues to thrive, it’s all about the spirit and your spirit seems pure. Good luck!

You kinda lost me at it being ok to send your kids to schools. The Bible is very clear on educating kids. I’m certainly no expert but I don’t think a Bible believing/following Church would encourage sending children to be educated/babysat by the world. We are to be in this world but not of it. Society has fallen so far that preaching the Bible disturbs folks.

  • @newcovenantguy610

The most egregious error of the IFB is their faulty teaching of salvation. Many of them teach (which I have listened to) that a person can pray the sinner’s prayer, walk the aisle, raise their hand in a church service, make a profession of faith, with no life change, no interest in gathering with believers, no bible study, no prayer, no evangelism, no practical holiness, and still be saved just "lose rewards." Many of them teach that a person can live in a perpetual, unrepentant lifestyle of sin and still go to heaven, just "lose rewards." Many of them teach that people can take Christ as their Savior, but not as their Lord and still be saved. Though the Bible teaches that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone apart from works, if we truly saved, we will follow Christ as Lord as a lifestyle, we will continue to repent, we will continue to have good works, and although imperfectly, we will live an ongoing life of holiness, there will be lasting fruit, and we will persevere in the faith to the end. The IFB labels this understanding as "works salvation" which is absolutely ridiculous. The word of God in the verses below are clear and plain to those who are teachable and who care more about being faithful to God’s word than to their IFB church tradition and affiliation.
1 Corinthians 6: [9] Know ye not that the unrighteous SHALL NOT INHERIT the kingdom of God? BE NOT DECEIVED: NEITHER FORINCATORS, NOR idolaters, NOR ADULTERERS, NOR effeminate, NOR abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] NOR THIEVES, NOR COVETOUS, NOR DRUNKARDS, NOR revilers, NOR extortioners, SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Galatians 5: [19] Now the WORKS OF THE FLESH are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,[21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Ephesians 5: [5] For this YE KNOW, THAT NO WHOREMONGER, NOR UNCLEAN PERSON, NOR COVETOUS MAN, WHO IS AN IDOLATER, HATH ANY INHERITANCE in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
1 John 3:[10] In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: WHOSEOVER DOETH NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Revelation 21:[25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. [26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. [27] AND THERE SHALL IN NO WISE ENTER INTO IT ANYTHING THAT DEFILETH, NEITHER WHATSEOVER WORKETH ABOMINATION, OR MAKETH A LIE: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
1 John 3:[6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: WHOSOEVER SINNETH HATH NOT SEEN HIM, NEITHER KNOWN HIM.
Hebrews 12: [14] Follow peace with all men, AND HOLINESS, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD.
3 John 1: [11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: BUT HE THAT DOETH EVIL HATH NOT SEEN GOD.

I'm not defending any IFB by saying this, but I know of NO IFB church that teaches any of those things you spoke of. That is all new evangelical teaching that you described.
I believe Lord AND Saviour, just not Saviour alone.
Jesus said "Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and don't do the things I say?"
We are called to be holy, meaning "set apart" from the world.
      Separated... but not isolated.
I know there are some bad IFB churches, but what about the rest of Protestantism, where the preaching is shallow at best? No sin, no righteousness, no judgment.
      I know, I've been there.
Rainbow flags flying from every denomination. God forbid.
Methodist churches split over the LGBTQ issue, but yet they never preach anything about alcoholism, cohabitating, abortion, fithy music, public schools confusing our children's minds with gender decisions, evolution, natural selection and the list goes on.
Yes I understand there are some bad IFB churches and even more Protestant churches, no-name churches included.
Most people leave churches because their "feelings got hurt" but they'll scratch until they can find a "reason" to leave. The pastor always gets the blame.
I've read some sad stories here.
It's shameful for "Christians" to air their dirty laundry to the world, and then wonder why the lost are turned off to anything Christ or His church.
I'm thankful the Word of God hurt my feelings and exposed my sins.
It wasn't an IFB pastor that hurt my feelings either. What hurts me the most is the fluff that's passed off for Bible preaching today.
That word "love" is so misused today by people that don't know agape love.
What they don't understand is that they're going to "love" people right into Hell.
The time is now to wipe the tears, find FORGIVENESS for those who have "hurt their feelings" - and get going with the Gospel.

I grew up in no church , got radically transformed and set free by God's love. Through much confirmation I was called to travel the world and unite the body of Christ. Putting love above all else. My husband (a Christian) not too picky on titles decided to join me in this .... well about 3 years into our marriage he discovered IFB and said God confirmed this is the only biblical denomination out there. I have seen much of what you say. Division, tradition, rules, etc... I've stopped doing what I feel called because my husband now wants my full embrace in the IFB and for me to take strong stances of disagreement with many ministries I work with. He's become very rigid, controlling, hurtful, demanding my submission, demeaning. It's one thing to not know the truth of God's heart and find out then leave. A whole other beast to know and have tasted the Lord's goodness than become Subject to the IFB belief system. It's been extremely hard. Recently he asked me to get rebaptized into the IFB denomination as it was the only way we could become members. I don't feel comfortable doing it but feel I may have no choice. He's made it clear that even if we do it I'm still a "disobedient wife" because he said I must agree with all his stances and not show that I disagree. I believe the lost will know us by our love for one another more than our doctrinal agreements, but he does not agree.... all I can say is I desperately need prayer for my family. Thank you!

@@thenurturedsoul2701 thank you! Today after reading the bylaws of the church I felt strongly I could not go forward in becoming a member. My husband is very upset with me. To cut off the evangelical ministries and people who are like family to me. People who we've done contemporary Christian music together in the midst of some tough situations just to see the lost led to Christ. People who I know love the Lord. People I've walked side by side on the mission field with as they surrounded us with machetes, all for the sake of getting the name of Jesus out and His love. I just can't look down upon them any less because they may listen to Christian music that's not hymns or God forbid may use a heretical Bible that's not KJV. I just can't. My big prayer right now is do I continue to stay at the church we are at (which thankfully they have been very kind to me) or do I go where I can flourish in the community of believers that surround me. It appears my husband believes I am rebellious either way because true submission would be submitting my beliefs to that of my husband but I don't know how it's possible for me to honestly change them. I'm scared cause my husband does deal with alcoholism, even more so when he's stressed. So I am worried this season is going to be rough no matter what. Praying those expectations will prove false though. But GOD!

I grew up in IFB culture. Legalism is a big problem. The first indication to me was when I heard a phrase during a sermon that went like "It's not legalism, but..." When you're far more concerned about women wearing pants on a Tuesday morning than the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual conditions of those women, it's a big problem. Another thing I had issues with later in life was that the Holy Spirit didn't seem to have a place in the IFB church. I never once heard a sermon that focused on the role of the Holy Spirit, other than he convicts you of your need for salvation. (Then I guess he moves onto the next unsaved person?) As far as I was concerned, the Trinity was the Father, Son, and "Pastor Jim Bob" (not the real name of any person I know.) The Holy Spirit is just as important in the day to day, but I had no idea. It took visiting other types of churches and serious study of the Bible to realize this. How many Christians are content to just gloss over the Bible in any given day on their own and just lean on sermons only for Biblical knowledge? Too many, probably.

I remember the IFB churches from the mid-1970s and the preachers from that time, e.g. John R. Rice, Lee Roberson, Jack Hyles, Lester Roloff, Curtis Hutson, and the BobJones University people. The Bible schools had strict dress codes. Men could not have their hair touching the back of their shirt collars, hemlines of women's dresses/skirts had to be below the knee by several inches, women could not wear pants or slacks, men could not have beards or moustaches unless they could prove they had the facial hair for at least ten years, etc., etc.
The most prominent IFB doctrine at the time, besides belief in a "pre-trib" rapture, was belief that the KJV was the God-ordained English translation of the Bible.
It seems nothing has changed except for allowance of beards and moustaches for men.

I'm 45 and I grew up in the IFB movement. I've been around too. A few of my observations:
    1. The deeds and doctrines of the Nicolaitans. You touched on this without wording it like this but we've elevated pastors above the congregation. Everything revolves around the pastor and his family while the congregation lives out in the real world and struggles.
    2. Some of these churches and pastors see the same problems as us. But there are 2 completely opposite reactions. The 1st group just walk away. The 2nd group throws out the baby with the bathwater. This group overreacts and doesn't strengthen the things that remain. They throw out everything that is good and holy.
    3. I've talked to good Christian people who love the Lord. They go to church and block out the sermon because it is nothing but fake preaching. Then they go home and listen to other men online because they're starving to death.

There are two fundamental errors with regard to the law. 1. Legalism and 2. Antinomianism. The one teaches salvation by keeping the law or doing a list of desirable actions. The second teaches we are not under the law but under grace but this must be qualified lest we over turn the commandments and become lawless. All Christians are under the law to Christ. While Christ kept the law perfectly and has imputed His righteousness to us nevertheless we are to honor the Lord by keeping the law as much as possible. God hates lawlessness and sin and sin is the breaking of God's commandments.
NOTE: What did the apostle Paul teach about God's law? Are Christians required to keep it? Is it a curse and unnecessary for salvation? What should be a Christian's attitude toward the law?
Paul, in no uncertain terms, tells us what he thinks of the law. He states, "Therefore, the law is indeed holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good . . . " (Romans 7:12). The idea that believers who have faith abolish or no longer need God's law was a foreign concept to the apostle Paul.
Are we, then, abolishing law through faith? May it never be! Rather, we are establishing law (Romans 3:31).
Most churches miss the truth on these two points.

I have a doctrinal question. It seems like the video heavily attacks works-based preaching vs grace-based Christianity. What do you do with 2 cor 5:10? For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

    • @thenurturedsoul2701
      @thenurturedsoul2701  4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

That is a great question. This is of course referring to the bema seat of Christ where Christians will be rewarded for our faithfulness in being a good steward. These works will be because of our faith and love for God not to impress Him or appease His wrath. The good works will also be genuinely godly works not making the opinions and preferences of man elevated to the commandments of God. Because of the grace of God I can be faithful and a good steward and it is my desire to do so. Hope that helps to answer your question!

I have been in the IFB movement my whole life and have seen both happened regularly which is sad. Truth is there is problems no matter where you are at. One thing I have believed is that whatever the Bible teaches that's what I am no matter what the name that given to me is. So false doctrine or bad teaching pushed me away… I asked God when I was a kid a simple prayer and he spent two decades answering it but I didn’t know until one day just me and him I sat and finally started reading my Bible again and WOW they were so incredibly WRONG and to simply put it. The gospel means “good news” and he told us to go around and spread the good news and selfishly that means I’m lucky and fortunate that our God is so great that he died for us. He took on the cross so that we NEVER have to. That’s amazing. I wish that message was taught to me as a child instead of making me feel worthless and guilty. The guilt is over the accuser satan is the one who goes around condemning us for being sinful, not God. God forgave us and doesn’t keep record of our sins we are shrouded in the blood of Christ. This is how I know we’re in final end times with war in Israel it’s because of how broken and divided the church is. My own family has gotten upset and argued with me when I was speaking from the words in RED. That is a huge red flag, they’re arguing with Jesus and I’m not saying I’m him, I’m saying I was using the words in red to make a point and they rebuked it. Makes no sense to me

You must've went to the wrong IFB church. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with good hard KJB preaching. Last I checked, Jesus and the Apostles didn't preach soft hippie sermons. The purpose of being a Christian is to spread the gospel and further our sanctification. If your church doesn't convict you, and instead makes you comfortable about who you are (a sinner) then you're at the wrong church.

    • @Ben6Strings
      @Ben6Strings 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@mikemanuel8880 yes it is the church's job only because the church's job is to preach the Word of God, which in turn WILL convict you. Also it is the church's job to have a type of discipline. If you're a sinner and not convicted in a church, they aren't preaching the Word of God. Maybe a small part, but not all of it, and very likely they aren't founded in solid biblical doctrine.
Literally last Sunday our sermon was about the Holy Spirit, and quite often the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the sermon in some way. If you're talking about in some heretical way like a Pentacostal, Prosperity Gospel, Word of Faith, etc then never. We stick to ACTUAL biblical truths.
There is No governing body over the IFB. so if someone DOES truly have a bad experience with an IFB church then they absolutely cannot blame IFB churches. I currently go to an independent Baptist church and the pastor said he would put fundamental in there bc that is what he believes but it's to long and that it connects to bad IFB churches. He stresses that he teaches biblical truth and in love and is first and foremost and I do see that and agree but I also see things like kids are sent to particular colleges and only have their own events and of course othe independent Baptist people come to preach. I have heard him down other denominations, not in a mean way but still not respected. He talks about how works does not get you to heaven but yes they do do a lot of stuff and wants a lot of involvement which is understandable to a certain extent. I have felt like an outcast as I have not joined the church. They are in the process of building a new church and I wonder if things will change once the new building is established. I will continue to go there but I have to say I will keep my guard up. I dont feel that he is any better than any other there but sometimes I feel he makes quiet judgements on others based on their attendance or giving or Involvement, membership.
I do see the disagreement thing. They are right and that's it but many there don't wear dresses or has short hair, doesnt listen to only their kind of music and they are still accepting. They do go out into the community to share the gospel and where to find them at their church. But I see what your saying. Totally do.
Honestly I wouldn't know where else to go. It's a choice, dark concert type churches, ungodly teachings, or a church that has no attendance bc they don't go out and try to draw people in. It's dead.

We've moved around over the yrs and attended 4 different IFB churches and they all follow the same guidelines some more some less. Here are just a few "preferences" that are preached as doctrine with no biblical substance. KJV is the only Bible ever, suits and ties, skirts and dresses, piano music only, no music with percussion, don't clap your hands to the music, don't clap after anyone sings/plays, no new music only hymns from 60+ yrs ago allowed, don't raise your hand in praise, absolutely no rythym allowed, zero forms of alcohol, seperation more like isolation from the world, don't associate with anyone not of the same belief unless on the job or witnessing, homeschool is standard, public school is abhorred. You are looked down upon if you don't dress the part, not there everytime the door is open, have you're kids in public school, listen to the evil klove/ccm, question any of the processes. The worst is I realized that I had become part of this attitude and thinking, where we put ourselves on a pedestal and look down on everyone else that didn't look, do, talk, to and believe exactly just like us. We were the pharisees who patted ourselves on the back and said I'm glad I am not like them. Jesus had compassion on people.

I forgot a few. You already mentioned that women are an after thought thanks, women can never wear pants/shorts (though many do in secret), like he said they are very good at giving the gospel but, not helping new christians grow and many fall out, you have normal people all of sudden accept Christ and expected to live like there in the 40s and wether you admit it or not sections of the KJV can be very cumbersome. You almost need a class covering the KJV but, they don't get one and we wonder why they leave or the church can't grow. The fact is IFB is a brand and one that says the old way is better, not the Biblical way, just our old ways. It's so hypocritical.

Each church, no matter what the denomination affiliation, has to be judged as to how it measures up to the Bible. I have been in independent churches most of my life and have not found much of what is inferred about them to be true. The world has entered into the churches, and it is hard to find a good one these days. You will never find a perfect one. If you do, don’t join it because you will probably ruin it.

  • @williampowers3775

I hear about follow the Bible however Jesus gave 2 commandments in which all other will follow.. The first is love the Lord with all your heart mind and soul the second is love your neighbor as yourself.. In that commandment I never seen the word except who is your neighbor every one. How do you bring people to Christ if we take it upon ourselves to be god of judgement and punishment condemning others telling others they are less than and or not good enough do we serve god by chasing others away from him. Gentiles were not accepted in Jesus time all gentiles were unclean yet gods grace has been extended to all. So we cannot do gods job we must love others not condemn them. IF we do that than we are showing gods true love. We don't have to condone others behavior or way of life but we must act and treat others with love. It don't mean we have to live like others.

    Independent fundamental
baptist is not an organization controlled by a head or entity that is man made!
Every church is different, every pastor is different, every congregation is different! You cannot throw a blanket over every church that is independent and make it factual! Each individual church stands alone and answers to no man made organization! Each pastor is responsible to Jesus and the congregation! I’ve attended many of these churches and none of them are the same! Some speak of these churches as an organized man controlled group that are cookie cutter identical! It’s all lies! If you have a beef with your church, so be it, but don’t blast every independent church with false information!

Is the NIFB better abuse/scandal wise? I saw one pastor whose boys “locker talk” consisted of sodomy and violating a virgin girl at their church. I’ve seen anti-trinitarianism, anger tantrums, “get this bum out of here”, throwing the Bible, etc. I appreciate their biblical stance that Zionism is heresy, but sadly I see other issues.

  • @RedBeardOne

I do understand what you’re saying, but I believe that you are using personal experiences to undermine a “denomination.” There are good IFB churches, and there are bad ones. That’s true of any denomination.
The “rules” or “laws” in IFB churches of which you speak have to do with living a holy life, not salvation.
There is supposed to be tension between Christians and the world. We are supposed to have different standards and preferences (and yes, music, clothing, etc. are preferences) than the world.
I have long said that personal convictions and preferences are not doctrines.
I will agree that there is a little too much pastor, and even church idolization in some IFB churches. Again, this is a problem with most churches across the board.
You could have remained IFB and just been one of the “good” ones. It is sad to hear you are abandoning the distinctives (which are Biblical) because some pastors and churches are jerks.
Your issues with attitude are valid, but I don’t hear many critiques of IFB doctrine, and that is what truly matters.

Good grief, another self-appointed expert who evidently does not understand the word “independent.” Is he suggesting that because he has “evidence” of some sort it means he can ignore or redefine the English word independent. So if this dude is no longer a fundamentalist, a fair and honest question he needs to honest which he absolutely should answer and does not answer in this weak talk about his “journey” to wherever he is going from wherever he has been, is which core fundamental doctrine has he now abandoned. About the only honest observation this gentleman makes is that he is speaking about a majority of those he has observed. I wonder what his honest response would be to those who would say to all churches with the name “Charity” in its title has both feet firmly planted in mid-air! All we needed was yet another dude artificially telling us what is wrong with a group of Christians all the while making sure we know how right and correct he happens to be. Another gentleman adding to the war and fighting and causing further divisions to the cause of Christ, just what we needed. He said he does not want the disunity and yet he is wanting to add to the disunity by having a presentation like this. He says he has been badly hurt, will someone tell this fellow to find his healing with Christ and not take it out on a group of Christians. Let’s hope that he will find what he needs in Christ.
