Memorial Day Weekend Diddy Poles on the Mississippi River: A Quest for Blue Cats!

The Memorial Day weekend tradition of diddy poles on the river continues but we went even BIGGER this year! We headed down to the Mississippi River to see if we could get our first blue cat on a diddy pole, while also chasing channel cats and flathead catfish! We took an extra long weekend and ran 2 boats - one for running lines and the other for bowfishing.
We had been wanting to run diddy poles on the big river for a long time and catch a blue, which is not native to the area. We accomplished our mission and had some delicious river eats in the process - I tried spoonbill, silver carp and blue cat for the first time.
