Great video. Weird how in my manual the 05 selection is flipped from yours. 05A is comfort for me and 05B is Economy. My model is RUR160iN. I initially thought you made a mistake. Always refur to your manual for your model number. They change them sometimes.
thanks for the instructions! I just installed the rsc199in, but it's heating the water. Temp default to 120f. Power is fine, water flow is good, and gas flow is good. All looks good except the water is not heating. Any ideas?
Hi Sir, I did watch your videos about Rinnai code 10 and it helps me a lot I did replace my fan and clean burners and these did not fix my problem but when I change dip switch 2 and 3 from off -off to on- off , this fix my problem So I need to make sure that this change is safe. Can you please help me to see if this safe or not? I do live at Pittsford NY area my model is Rinnai RL75iN Natural Gas Tankless Hot Water Heater, 7.5 GPM
Dennis, I have rinnai RCU98i that i just installed a dedicated recirculation pump Kt03 from rinnai. My issue is right now i cant change the setting for 4b. i press the main board "A" bottom to change the setting for 4b unfortunately nothing happen. Please help Thank you. by the way you make an excellent video.
It is based on incoming water temp and temp your asking unit to heat water to. The greater temp difference the less water pressure coming out because water heater is self adjusting flow in order to reach the desired temp your asking for. Always check the chart be sure your getting proper gpm flow. If your input water temps are say 45-65f then you will only get 3-4gpm when u want your output at 125-140f.Doesnt matter if it says its 11gpm flow waterheater.That is likely based on only a 45f temp difference in input to output It drops off the higher the difference between incoming water temp and desired output water temp.Raising your income water pressure will not increase output unless your input water pressure in 35psi which case you will need to increase your incoming water pressure regulator to 45-65psi. Higher then that will likely burst certain older water pipes cpvc,gray poly b, older copper unless they are newest pex.
I have the RU199in. It has option for additional controller to bring temp to 180 for hydronic. I got it connected but still can’t get past 140. Any ideas?

I have ru199ip unit but it appears you only have to enable certain functions in order to enable commercial temps 150-180.Says need some controller but has been discontinued.Mcc-91-c board no longer available. Reading manual you have to enable certain functions in order to access other options for commercial 150-180 temps
To achieve that set up everything else the way you want it and never connect the Bluetooth adapter. The water heater circulation will be in stand my 24/7.

I installed 2 ru199. W the ex connect cable. Do I change the ex connect setting on both? Primary? Secondary?

I tried this. But pushing and holding button A does not do anything. The controller does not display anything. Any idea why?

Took a little time playing with the controls, but I’m now at 180.
Mc-601-w should work too I believe.
