Scientific Trawling in Puget Sound, Washington

This short film provides an overview of the scientific bottom trawl survey that is conducted annually by the Marine Fish Science Unit to estimate the abundance and distribution of bottomfish throughout Puget Sound. Several aspects of the study are highlighted, including net instrumentation, species diversity, biological data collection, and plankton sampling.
