I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express the emptiness a friend, a companion a family member leaves in our heart when they pass. I had a cat named Cookie who for me was the greatest companion. When she parted i could feel her essence in every room. its been over 3 years and i still cannot talk about her without feeling broken hearted. Thank you for sharing.

I am tender-headed. I hated my hair being brushed so much because of the pain it caused me. Would you believe for the first 25 years of adulthood, I "did hair". I then adopted a four month old Silky Terrier from our eldest daughter. We had 17.5 years of fun. Then, two years ago, we took in our youngest daughter's beautiful Pomsky. Oh, my gosh, what a learning curve to handle a double coated bread with two types of fur. Our daughter said to plan on her shedding twice a year. Right...Jan-June and July-Dec! It is a part time job keeping her 'Pomeranian' hair silky smooth and wooly Husky hair under control. The right tools are a must! I digress. I just love these dog grooming videos!
you can.. use it as long as it's before the bath, human products are not always recommended for dog use. the Ph levels are different. i would recommend use a dog detangler spray. However if you must use it i would preffer before the bath that way when your shampoo your pet, it'll wash out the detangler! happy grooming!
I'm ngl, im struggling because my baby is half dachshund and half yorkie. and his coat is a mix of the two. Imagine trying to groom two hair types for a newbie. using one technique doesn't work on both his coats. nevertheless he's still adorable and that's my baby. we'll get through it.
Why are brushing like that? You should be brushing the bottom out first and work your way up. The way you are brushing will cause damage to that poor dogs coat and hurt the skin more. PLEASE BRUSH THE BOTTOM OUT FIRST

Don’t use to much grooming spray as you will end up with build up, just groom without it you will not ruin the coat

Her coat would stay much healthier and shinier if you used a good conditioner. Very important for a long haired yorkie skin and hair.
So what brand of detangler are you using?
you can use any kind of pet safe detangler. i am using pet beauty. Happy grooming!
