Our Senior Yorkie KinKaChu suffers from anxiety so I groom her at home. I'm not a professional groomer, but I do what I can to bring the best out in her and you can do the same for your dog following some basic steps from our video.

I loved this presentation!! The Groomer was gentle and compassionate to KinKaChu as he worked with her. He showed a lovely way to groom her. So many other videos seem to be a hairs width away from dog abuse in their grooming. None of that here. The music is soothing. Well done. I highly recommend this for the non-professional to get that professional grooming look for your best friend.

My yorkie Tinkerbell has anxiety as well and I have gone to numerous groomers that can’t give her a cut because of her anxiety so I have been grooming her at home. After watching this video and ordering the products in your video I feel soo much more confident. Thank you!!

I have three Yorkies and I get so irritated when I take them to a groomer and they don't do a very good job not to mention what they charge. So, I've made up my mind and decided I'm going to start grooming my own dogs to save me the headache and stress of paying for something and not getting the satisfaction I'm looking for. I've viewed a couple of video on how to groom yorkies which led me to this video and I must say, this is the best one yet. You have such a beautiful yorkie and I'm very impressed with not only how you perfectly groomed her but also how you gently handled her. I will lock this video in my favorites and come back to this as a study guide. Thank you sooo much for sharing, this is such a big help to me :)

You're so sweet with her. I just watched a video where the person grooming the dog had no music and never spoke a word to the dog. It was highly distressing to watch. It's obvious how much you love her and she you.
I love the way you speak to her as you groom her.. I can tell in your voice that you love her very much she's so sweet.. I have a little female and I just started grooming her myself after an accident at the groomers.. she will be 12 years old this year and had to have knee surgery from a ruptured ACL.. which left me very upset so now I groom her myself
I'm not a dog lover but I know talent when I see it and this is a professional cut from a non-professional yet he showed elegance in the way he handled and groomed her. I don't see any negative comments or suggestions yet a few hit dislike, so they are obviously trolling. I'll admit I've regretfully trolled in the past but even I can't possibly hate on grooming this well done. Awesome job!

I have cut hair for 32 years but never gave my Yorkie a full haircut.... I am going to buy a table and proper tools and start taking care of her. I found this video very helpful. We have a Yorkie who also has anxiety and the last time he was at the groomer and they were cutting his nails. They actually cut him and once he has a bad experience, everything creates anxiety for him so I have bought a grooming kit and been doing a little at a time with them, but this video was greatand the compassion that you show as you’re cutting that sweet little girl is just truly wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Yesterday was my 3rd time grooming our crazy Maltese while watching your video and I'm proud to say I'm grooming much better and Rico's behavior dramatically improved. He's bitten groomers in the past and also got me a few times but after switching to your clippers and playing all sorts of soothings music with body rubs he mellowed out. We learned a lot from this channel and you saved us big time. Keep up the awesome work!

My silky has extreme anxiety as well.....Her groomer said the last time he thought he would have a heart attack right o the table. Thanks for the vid..You made me get the courage to groom my own dog. No one is going to be as compassionate and patient as you the dog owner. And if you truly love your pet. Your not going to subject it to extra anxiety. Invest some time and money and groom your own pet. It will save you a ton of money. And the rewarding feeling at the end is probably priceless.

@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 YAAAAY so glad you are all well and KinKaChu are doing well. i did ther first cut on our sisters and it went well. the price i paid for the clippers and brushes and container and nail clippers and the magical stuff to stop nail bleeds - was half the price i would have paid if i sent them to the parlour.... in cutting my own kids hair i bonded with them and shared a memory.. so all in all... it was a victory

TY ! I learned more from you than other videos. I had a yorkie, one ear up. Told my customers that he was only half interested when they asked what was wrong with him. Then a vet, when he was only 8 weeks, told me to have him fixed bc he was ugly bc of his ears! At 7, both ears went up !! He lived to be 17... now my 6 y/ o has anxiety. I trim him the best I can...thanks for this video ! She is a doll baby !!
Who asked the vet's opinion? I bet he was adorable with those wonky ears! We had a dog she looked like a dingo or a red heeler except her ears went down like a lab or something ordinary. But 2 or 3 years after we rescued her they stayed up one day and never went back. It looked so weird because they were just there huge triangles lol she really looked like a dingo after that

She seems so chilled to me. Hopefully my little yorkie will behave this well. My baby does not seem to have anxiety however, she loves to bite and play with anything near her. I can see something like trying to trim her will be an all day event. Prayer will be needed.
Yeah she loves her dad and makes the effort to be good once the setting is right, at a groomer nothing but chaos😄
Once you get the hang of it you can do touch-ups to maintain as well as save money😉

Thank you for posting the tools you use. My Bella also has high anxiety but her groomer is used to dealing with her. However, with two yorkies and the rising cost of the groomer, I decided to start doing them myself at home. Just the buzzing sound of the clippers would freak my Bella out. I read on Amazon that these were quiet and I got them. She's still anxious while grooming but so much better.

Love what you've done for her, we have 4 dogs and our Pomeranian suffer from really bad anxiety and our trainer recommended something similar before meds and it worked out well.
May I ask what meds? I have natural calming but don't work very well

Lovely video! I too groom my boys at home now. The last groomer has left my boys traumatised & it's taken a few months to settle them but it's definitely worth the work. Practise makes perfect!

Thanks i love how you re-assure her. If I may that brush is very harsh. It scratches the skin, she definitely doesn't like it on her face its just cause the prongs are like little needles scratching her face. ( my yorkie made the same fac so I changed brushes and hes alot better) you can tell she really trusts you! She's just so beautiful. Your video really helped me, I thought i was doing it all wrong and i wasn't really sure about his face, you really helped my Bentley needs a grooming now...i was nervous but I now have confidence to get it done!

I'm relaxed just watching how you kept her calm, I am amazed at how well you work with her so she stays relaxed. Her anxiety was fully controlled, and you seem as relaxed as well..... Mine won't stand still for it. They have huge anxiety when feet are touched, no matter what I do. Nail clipping? Mine require sedation. Grooming personal area? Mine need multiple breaks while grooming and my back can't working for long on my pups. If I could find someone who understands the anxiety of my pups I'd keep that person on retainer.

Very easy to watch this video with that CLIPPER. Another person was using it and I couldn't watch passed a couple of minutes. He had no clue how easy it is to cut a dogs skin or paws etc.

This is a nice cut, I have 2 miniature Yorkies one is 15 years old but in great condition sometimes he is still like a puppy the other is 7 and he is difficult to groom, I also do it myself cause he really is very nervous. He has been groomed in the groomers a fewvtines but he never comes back himself and it's upsetting. I have left their hair long until I now but I think I might try this cut. It is so cute and you are so calm with your dog. She is a lucky girl 💗

@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 do you recommend a good brand of scissors that actually cut. I just groomed my Yorkie for the first time and the scissors that came with my grooming kit didn't work so well :(
I first had a blind Yorkie and learned to groom her due to her getting stressed with me not being there. I found the best "tool" was to speak to her and talk with her and myself not being stressed and she could tell by my voice that everything was ok.

Thank You I have a very small yorkie (16 yrs old) & not always able to get her to the groomers (where she is very good to get groomed) I bought the clippers you have but have been nervous about using them or hurting her with the blades but your video has really helped me how I can safely groom her.

This is such a cute cut. I'm going to try it on my shorkie. I just ordered the clippers and can't wait to try them out. My dog also has anxiety and hates getting groomed so I'm really hoping these help.

Omgosh ... thank you so much .. My groomer just moved and my poor Cookie needs to be groomed so bad ... I don't have $40 to groom her.. I only trust her because Petsmart and Doggy Style in Covina, Ca. did a number on her ... I had told them Cookie was scared of the clippers and Petsmart clipped her a little bit.. But Doggy Style clipped her whole entire body from head to toe.. she was shaking so bad.. she was crying... I was furious, when I told them why did they use the clippers, they said she was terrible and snapped at us, she is going to get hurt if you don't teacher to behave.. Talk about pissed off.. I said , "I told you she was scared of the clippers to use scissors only on her ... well I didn't pay .. and never went back... so that you ... I'm going to try to do it first ..
