Hey so I already have a Cannon camera and was wondering what the best cannon video camera is in between 1000 and 1500 dollars for sports videos. I am hopeing to be able to use the lenses that I already have on the camera that I chose.
I had the same issue for not being able to record FHD with my EF-S 10-18mm on my EOS R, not sure why that's the case so now I'm just sticking to full frame lenses. 😃
Yes it is upsetting that they do not use the same lenses because now that I want to buy the new eos r8 but I already have the eos 80d, I’ll have to buy new lenses
Nice video. Unfortunately it's impossible to mount RF lens to ΕF body unless you remove the mirror and squeeze the lens further inside somehow. I am using the R and the 17-40 as well. Still searching for good L EF lenses since I own 3 Canon Dslr and can't switch to expensive RF lenses yet. I am super happy with the adapter and the R breathed new life to my old lenses. Bravo Canon.
Thanks! Yeah, I have many friends asking me if there's a change to mount RF glass to a DSLR, but...there's no way, hahah. I think Canon is very focused on going forward with the new R mirrorless line. DSLR cameras will be history in a few years. The new Canon R3 lets you focus on a certain subject by using your eyes through the viewfinder and that is wicked. It's really the future. The big downside for me is that the new RF glass is expensive, except that 35mm f1.8. By the way I have a video coming up today about that lens if you're interested.
They disabled the 60fps to make you buy the more expensive ef lenses... Literally the only reason. Did you know that on the RP you cannot shoot ANY 1080 with ef-s glass... you are literally limited to 720 or 4k... 🤬🤬🤬

I think you mean you were trying to record at 60 fps FHD. Otherwise FHD at 24 and 30fps works just fine with EF-S lenses. :)
@@VideoMakerTwist Yeah, I meant at 60p!

The thing I don’t understand is if there is NO mirror, why the special mount? There no mirror to hit the lens. Sounds like a money grab by Canon.
