As a rather depressed and forlorn person who really wanted to become a digital artist, I barely make anything. Despite 3 years of university in learning animation, all it gave me was a lack of motivation and an abundance of debt. I don't really know what is wrong with me yet, or how to fix it, but watching this video made me feel the WANT to pick up a pen again and draw. That raw inspiration and desire for creativity isn't something I have felt in a long time, and amongst all the wonders of higher budget and profession works like Arcane for instance, it was HERE where I felt some small spark fester. I don't know if it will last, or if it amounts to nothing in the end, but regardless, Neytirix is who I have to thank for realising that I do indeed still have a passion for wanting to be a digital artist. Thank you so much for being so incredible.
Just an idea, but you could get one of those prompt sketchbooks, but instead of sketching in the book, you do it on your device! Coffee/caffeine also help me focus, but that's because I have ADHD.
@JCArules13 Not a bad idea. It's been 2 years and to be honest the pit still feels just as deep. But, I have been making little sketches from time to time. Little steps which I wish were bigger. Also, ADDD here! (ADHD without the Hyperactivity and instead Depression. I pronounce it like how the Super Smash Bros. Commentator announces King DeeDeeDee.)
@ I have that too! Doctors just realized that ADHD and ADD are the same condition just with different presentations. Some of us don’t have the energy to be hyperactive! And I know how you feel. I have so many crafts that I want to do, but I haven’t!!! I think it’s because I’m depressed. It’s a huge symptom. My mom died a little over a year ago, and I’m dealing with health issues. Maybe you could try talking to a therapist, or look at the things that have given you inspiration before and see what they have in common! It might help you find your muse!
Mooshrooms have to be my fave mod ever. I remember when they were first introduced to the game!! I spent hours to days looking for a mushroom island and finally found one!!!! I set up my nee base there and pretty much never left. I imagined I was a bit insane afterwards (especially only eating mushroom soup and being surrounded by cows with no human contact). It was pretty dope though :3 very fond memory :3
Lol I like how Neytirix fits in an explanation of what the sponsor is in her skits, instead of just going like “hi guys today we are playing minecraft- oh, and by the way, sponsored by raid shadow legends- now, anyways let’s go raid this village”
or if neither creepy or cute, it would look like a grumpy old grandpa. I can definitely imagine striders as grumpy old grandpas with their little white hairs
The art is mighty impressive, and I love the sophisticated and simultaneously intriguing nature and backstory that you provided for the mobs. I'm a huge fan when it comes to lore, especially for games such as Minecraft. The remakes are truly beautiful, and I really do hope you make more for other mobs. Keep up with the amazing work! ; )
This honestly hit me with a wave of nostalgia, I remember seeing her art from time to time without even knowing that she had a TH-cam channel! Ney’s take on the mobs are really creative and unique, please do keep up the great work I like supporting you even if I’m not noticed
I think apart from just the godlike drawing style, I think the most interesting thing for me is the lore. Giving mobs all these details to make them unique like the endermen going back to the end to get stronger and creepers being stone golems that regenerate over time. It makes them all so much cooler and interesting, and I may even blatantly steal-... err... draw inspiration from it for my own creative work. Thank you, for all that you do, and all the best to ya!
No joke, I wrote the complete opposite for Enderfolk in my headcanon. Given that the Civvies** traveled across dimensions on the regular (there are Nether Bastions, Nether Fortresses and empty End Cities to prove this), it made sense that they’d eventually get stuck in one of them. Using items at their disposal, they built temporary outposts and made ships which used huge elytra as their sails, for the sake of travel and to share in what wealth they had of resources. An attempt to escape the End Dimension, so called as the Civvies saw it to be the end of the line in just about every conceivable way. Despite their advancements in making golems from moss (creepers), iron, snow, deep slate (Ravager) and prismarine (Guardians), the Civvies were hard pressed to make their Purpur Golems (Shulkers) as a means of defense. Their livestock kept getting attacked and the projectiles were too slow to attack the silverfish which had followed them into the end, leading to Silverfish actually hiding within said Shulkers for protection-thus turning Shulkers into a quasi-living elevator system to quickly ascend an outpost. Nobody could’ve realized how essential these two life forms would be for the End’s future, as the Civvies abused this wretched wasteland until they began to find themselves with a void beneath themselves as well as above themselves, leading to greater panic. This panic turned simple colonists-farmers, toolsmiths, butchers and builders-into desperate engineers. Using whatever supplies they could find, they created beautiful crystals and constructed obsidian obelisks as a sign for everyone to join the effort. Livestock was left to its own devices, allowing the silverfish to begin exploring this newly abandoned wilderness-feeding on animal and Chorus plants. All the while the silverfish developed, the Civvies made a blasphemous choice. Atop obsidian obelisks they mounted experimental crystals, their last ditch effort to escape. What arose from this effort was the sudden destruction of every Civvy in the End, congealing them into a creature of raw might and destruction. The Ender Dragon, newly born, set about terrorizing the End wilderness. End Cities were scoured of food, be it plant or animal. The only creatures among the livestock to survive were vile, parasitic insects. On the animals and plants, the silverfish fattened themselves and began to develop, slowly at first yet accelerated by random outings by the dragoness whom ruled the End with tyrannical zeal. From their tarsals, once used to dig into cobblestone with the assistance of human bones, were too weak to dig into Endstone. Thus did they become used for grasping at materials, eventually becoming a crude form of intelligence. Hunted by the Ender Dragon whenever she sought to feed, the Enderfolk developed a face-to-face reproduction lest two be snatched in one swoop. Having more than one orifice became increasingly dangerous, as the creatures were finding themselves teleported right back to their eggs or fecal matter, something which was only partially helpful in their running from the Ender Dragon. Chorus Fruit’s peculiar effects were definitely invaluable to a species isolated to eating it, and their own young. Thusly did the End’s inhabitants develop a cloaca for their mouths, no longer sporting mandibles but jaws to more effectively combat the dragoness whom hunted them. Becoming quadrupedal to begin with, they reached bipedalism not long after, evolved to make the dragon’s hunts invariably difficult. Fast as lighting, these creatures learned to hock up their stomachs in the middle of chases rather than popping a squat, allowing them to teleport just out of the dragon’s claws. This unfortunately brought their eggs to be expelled the same way, leading hungry parents to give chase. Much as their ancestors in the days of Civvies, Endermites fled into any nearby End Cities and hid in the Shulkers within. From these safe places, Endermites venture for food, be it dead adults or Chorus fruit. Never far away from the safety of their shelters, these seemingly empty cities would be how the primitive Enderfolk would further their evolution. With only themselves now to fear, the Ender Dragon’s fate would be starvation given enough time. Thus did it destroy the already Swiss Cheese-like wasteland, tearing through Endstone flats to make the islands now familiar to any intrepid explorers. From simple, parasitic vermin to the true inheritors of Chorus forests and now the sole denizens of the End Dimensions, Endermen are lithe beasts known for their hostility to creatures making eye contact. Still, despite their primitive nature, they-like the Piglins-have reached further than their Civvy forebears could’ve possibly anticipated. Mere insects braving the End, becoming its dominant species?! Absurd, yet no less true!! ** Ancient Civilization’s citizenry

Your creepers are slightly more lovable than the original ones. However they still explode and make a mess of everything despite being so adorable and easy to defeat in multiple ways.
I love that your explanation for the endermen being unable to make contact with water is that they're storing the Dragon's Breath within them. And as for maybe some lore redesigns, I would love to see your interpretation of the Guardian! Leaning towards the mechanical side, or more organic look!
I would *Love* to hear more about they ways you've redesigned the mobs of Minecraft into their own whole new ecosystems and natural order. Not only are they cool looking but hearing about their newfound functions and the way they fit into the world is just so so cool too! Amazing as always Ney!

Thank you, Neytirix, for brightening my day :)

Thank you so much for continuing to show your art journey and continuing to inspire me more and more. I'd love to throw these head canon out there for you to think about: Minecraft wolves are more like direwolves, but weak. They're massive hulking structure makes them weaker, but stronger to most attacks, and they're covered in a mix of long fur and hide. Piglin and Zombie Pigmen, are the same creature but Zombie Pigmen are those created from eatting the blue mushrooms found in the crimson forest rarely. It is why baby Zombie Piglin seem a bit too common compared to Piglin's kin. Piglin Brutes are randomly chosen from birth and are scarred with magma and swords, if they survive this trauma they are taught their only reasoning in life is to defend and protect blindly, or die trying. Elder Guardians are weak Eldritch horrors, being close to the surface rather than deep down dulling their pow4er so they must stay together. Endermites are pests in the end, like dragonic bees or beetles, and are spawned out of a flaw from a ender pearl.
I always love when your family joins you, and these mob designs are so cool!! It was especially interesting to see your improvement with the enderman and how much you’ve grown as an artist even after a short time, and I want a petition for Mojang to put a mooshroom in every dark oak forest now

The iron golems have segments in their arms too, like the ones in Castle in the Sky
Then again them holding a flower is an Easter egg of that movie too
I agree with all of this, actually.
*including even inscryption! It’s a great game.*
I would love a resource back based on Neytrix’s art style. It would be SO COOL!
Not just a resource back but even better a big mod with all the features she gives the mobs :D
I personally imagine the pigmen being more boar like than pig, with maybe a few white stripes on the males and darker black/brown stripes on the females, I also feel like they’d wear the skulls of their ancestors (most recent past) because it’s seen as a show of respect, that their fathers and mother can keep fighting and aiding in battles. But there is a more peaceful tribe of pigmen who use ground bones and tusks to make farming tools and foods
Pigmen? What is that?

I'll be rooting for ya Farron. If you wanna use any of my drawings/ideas to help make that spark just a bit brighter go for it mate
God damn that ad transition was so smooth and interesting it actually made me want to watch the entire thing, incredibly done!
Gosh I love your art. I love how you flood your lore ideas into this game that invites people for speculation.
Maybe I got lucky but I used to find them all the time back in the day. Nowadays it's like they were Thanos snapped with my rng.
7:44 This is just missing the Enderman giving an aside glance to the viewers as if asking the Audience "Uhhh, What are they yammerin' on about?"
I love how they approach the Mobs like researchers. Neytitix' art only continues to improve and amaze. They should feel proud.
Oh wait!? Neytrix uses they/them pronouns? I really should know that. Thanks for telling me!
@@bigmcg7484 I didn't know what they go by so I just didn't want to assume.
@@starshinehero Oh ok that makes sense thanks
The endermen being draconic and the creepers as stone golems are pretty cool
Lol I like how Neytirix fits in an explanation of what the sponsor is in her skits, instead of just going like “hi guys today we are playing minecraft- oh, and by the way, sponsored by raid shadow legends- now, anyways let’s go raid this village”
Neytirix is the only person that can absolutely nail sponsoring, and make it enjoyable.
i can't think of anyone else who knows how to make a sponsor section that i don't wanna skip
I really love how the redesigns look so cool and have interesting backstories to them, and the sponsored segments are always entertaining :D
I love how one of the guards has an arrow in his knee
I wonder how she would redesign the strider, creepy as hell or blindingly wholesome
or a mix of both?????
Striders are really cute :)
or if neither creepy or cute, it would look like a grumpy old grandpa. I can definitely imagine striders as grumpy old grandpas with their little white hairs
i just imagine their head as extremely cute but their legs are incredibly realistic
I could imagine that under the lava they either have long as hell legs that make em more like a lava spider
The strider looks like it has the face of a african Rain frog, with long legs and the hair of a mad scientist.
So more likely a bit blursed.
I love neytirix's animation style and the little things/stories that go on during the video
If someone made an rpg game with you and you were the npc and enemy designer, I would buy the game instantly, your drawing skills are amazing!
The voice acting and animation were on another level, I'm dying to know how you animate!! Well done 🖤🤍
Ney’s take on the mobs are really creative and unique, please do keep up the great work
I like supporting you even if I’m not noticed

@@flipachaos2990 You’re new here, I do this wherever I go. Check out Arcane Forge’s Monster Monday series and you’ll find me around in his comments, Mother Macabre has me in her comments as well, Eris the Writer cannot escape my writing so long as she has her Wendigo series going…OH YEAH, and Don Gendonz’s “The End is Near” episode 3 has me writing an essay longer than his script.
Honestly as I have been following you through the years, I hadn't really noticed the change, yet, the moment you set two artwork side by side i was OH. It's so cool to see how even though you were already amazing back then, your still rising to even more amazing heights!
I love the dynamic of the sibs, and it’s interesting to see sister has a mouth. XD.
I have to say I love that you throw any potential existing lore to the wind and do your own thing.
That sort of creative freedom really allows you to come up with some really cool alternate ideas for the mobs.
Also since Ney doesn’t believe in the mushroom biome, it would be cool to see her stumble upon one in the future and have her boney mind blown. 😆
YES
Amazing as always Ney!
is it just me or is neytrix's animations getting better? either way your videos make me happy
I really love how Neytirix and her siblings are all dressed up and ready for battle and life in the MInecraft world.
Gonna be honest, I always love seeing you interact with your siblings and how different you all are.
I randomly stumbled here, have no idea what’s going on, and shall now proceed to binge watch all of your content because of how interesting and deep all of this is. More please. Absolutely in love already. ❤️
Omg I found this channel recently aswell and trust me, this channel is sooo binge worthy. I love it :)
I recommend watching the oc redesign videos for the sponsorship stories
You have made a good choice, if you are also a sociopath let alone a psychotic one.
So, how was your journey into the terrifying realm of Ney?
(Seriously love their videos)
Currently teaching myself how to draw rn and your videos always help me stay motivated to continue. Love the vids.
I love how imaginative Neytirix is with their stories. That, along with their amazing drawings, makes an awesome pair. I feel like if they made a comic book of their own series much like the Zootopia story they made, it would be amazing. I would definitely watch it or read it.
I love how the ad segment voice-overs were in viking voices lol
I absolutely love the way that Neytirix is able to make anything interesting with lore. Before, it was literally just a bunch of blocks in a sandbox-style game. Now, Mooshrooms are like guardians of the groves, Endermen are the children/servants of the ENDER DRAGON, Creepers are a type of golem that falls over (like a goat heheh), and Pillagers are now an elven tribe chased away from their homeland, seeking vengeance. Thank you, Neytirix, for brightening my day :)
I absolutely adore you and your siblings working together on a video and how you’ve created this world around your channel and family appearances. I won’t lie I would love to see you make a family photo of you and your family in the designs you give them on your channel to the detail of your regular work like in the video today. It would be kinda cool if that be came a reoccurring thing to bench mark your art changing over the years with a new family photo every so often.
I love your arts Neytirix
I love the feel that your redesigns add to the monsters of Minecraft, the semi-realistic character and biology you give them makes them feel so real
Never really cared about Minecraft all that much, but this wonderful take on it has got me itching to download it and goof around.
As a zoology nerd, listening to Nay ramble about her biology headcanons for mobs is weirdly satisfying
you never fail to amaze me- all your videos & creations are so beautiful!!
For some reason I used to watch you when I was 8, I still love it until now.
I super love how this is laid out. Having it be like explorers going out to discover these creatures to document them is so creative and it's fun to watch. It's like the "character" is trying to make a book for travellers
Lmao I love this! The whole integrating the art into a skit, the art and head canons themselves, it's great. I'm glad you uploaded, cuz everytime you do I get hit with inspiration and get to drawing myself. I'd love to see more videos like this in the future, it'd be greatly appreciated.
P.S. love your siblings as well! And no lie, that sponsor presentation bout to make me sign up. It's something I've been thinking of.
Got to love how her siblings just do the easier and sensible thing by raiding and pillaging.
the fact that they went through the portal and came out in the overworld means that they were just chillin in the nether. That makes perfect sense for Neytrix and her family hahahaha
Seeing a cannon that isn't so based off of popular theories is very refreshing! The giant mooshroom was my absolute favorite, I think I'll be replicating it in my next survival mode
Wow, I remember binge-watching all of your older Minecraft mob videos… seeing them next to your newer work is just😳 You’ve improved *SO MUCH* !!!

Ney this made me so happy. I've looked up to your art for years, and Minecraft has been a comfort to me for so long so seeing my inspiration draw their hand at minecraft mobs makes me so happy.
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen
I always love when your family joins you, and these mob designs are so cool!! It was especially interesting to see your improvement with the enderman and how much you’ve grown as an artist even after a short time, and I want a petition for Mojang to put a mooshroom in every dark oak forest now

I remember when i first started watching Neytrix, shes become such a big inspiration to me and she has given me so many ideas and so much motivation in my own artistic journey.
These redesigns are amazing, I especially like how the Mooshroom has sort of a Yggdrasil concept to it, that was a nice touch.
I usually dislike it when ppl depict Minecraft in this cliche "medieval fantasy" aesthetic (when vanilla MC is actually multi-genre & has all sorts of modern stuff), but Neytirix did SUCH a great job at creating her own little Medieval AU :D
You wear armor and fight with swords, bows and enchanting magics against a dragon. There is alchemy to brew various health potions, enhancment potions and poisons. Sounds pretty medieval fantasy to me, ngl.
It makes sense
You literally fight against a dragon using armours, swords and bows, this is the most medieval thing I ever seen
Minecraft is literally medieval fantasy.
OP prolly meant real life medieval, like with poverty and diseases and stuff
Amazing work. Your designs have been an inspiration for an RP I've been hosting and its been a thrill to do so. Thanks for that. It really helped pass the time in the pandemic.
