If it was vs 88 with no diamond, then yes, runner runner quads is only 0.1% and the absolute worst beat possible. This happened to me Deep in a 4000 player tournment, 35 left for the chip lead. AA vs 88. I flopped an Ace and they had 0.1% chance and then 8 turn, then 8 river. I stopped playing poker for awhile after this happened.

I have actually walked away to go have a smoke even with BB next when a player beats me twice quickly, learned that there is such a thing as Sun Running and it works both ways.
