Thanks for still making guides on BF4. It helps to keep this memorable game alive. If the new BF 2042 game has done anything - it's definitley to show how good the classics still are to this day!
I might’ve missed it, but how do i make snow less bright and blinding, and the out of bounds screen not as grey so i can see? Is that a in-game setting, or a like reshade type setting?
If you have a monitor with 144hz and Gsync, it's good to leave maxVariableFps 143, if fps goes above 143 it will not use the gsync, and the image will be stutter.
@UnitingG Why? It's smoother and has no inputlag. I will do a video to show the difference. th-cam.com/video/0bw98Ct9Mc8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ISMhJjBZZ_SiGCpB
You shouldn't be using the games cap. It's frankly terrible. You want to either inject reflex with RTSS, or use the back edge sync limiter if you can't do that. And you should be capping at 138 to get proper VRR per the Refresh-(Refresh*(Refresh/3600)) reflex cap formula to minimize frametimes exceeding your VRR window
@UnitingG Thanks. Subbed up bro. Going in to try the settings now. 13700k with strix 4070ti OC Edition. I have tried everything to try and get that snappy feeling I used to get with windows 7 back in the early days with no luck. There was also an optimum driver for bf4 as well but not sure what driver that was. I also use windows 11 pro. We will see.
@@fabriciorizzz I’d add the commands one by one so you know which was is crashing the game but none of the commands should. The crashing might be related to something else.

so I'd rather not play with the graphic settings and other accessories now and not underestimate it. Maybe it could be that in 2019 Amd released its first generation Anti-lag on rx 570x cards, which was too effective for that time and maybe even banned. In the past, I received a punkbuster donkey for this, what they invent and do not justify, they give out life bans to bf4 on my account thieves, my 1000s of game hours are wasted with decent k/d. So no more of these or similar experiments. You will be threatened with this
I just tried it, and damn I'm freaking out because now I have more deaths for some reason, incredible!! But I have two problems: 1-I can't see the enemies very well from a distance like before. 2-The shader makes my screen black, and I have to log out and back in to fix it.
Minimizing texture quality is a joke of a tweak. And disabling texture filtering also makes your game blurrier for no gains. Unfortunately a classic optimizer video full of frankly bad advice Edit:You went through all this effort, yet you still use 800 DPI which is laggy relatively speaking.
Also disabling Fullscreen Optimizations is definitely a joke tweak so good for sniffing that one out. It only does something in borderless modes, and it upgrades your games flip model to direct/independent flip. Lower latency *and* more frames. The people who disable that are certified fools.
For the benchmark results I mixed up HPET. On is actually disabled and off is enabled but everything else is correct.
Ok my brain isn't working should i click disable or enable for Bf4 to run best , thanks

Is GSync setting per monitor? i was told there is barely a difference but if there is one either could be chosen for what works better.
Some monitors don't have gsync but you don't want it on.
