To Nicks point. Even the grey book shows you the lifter if you actually read it to make those small changes to your current programming to keep making the gains happen.
It straight up uses the Texas method as its very own example of that. It goes from grinding 5RMs until that stops working, so then you’ll do triples, doubles and singles.
After you run it out it shows you the idea of spacing your intensity attempts in a wave structure 5, 3, 1 or 3, 2, 1 etc.
Then after that starts to get stall it shows you dynamic effort. And even rotational max effort work (DL to Rack Pull to Snatch Grip DLs)
Clearly these aren’t templates but a guide to make changes to lifts as time progresses.
I just wanna say you guys are right about the templates too. The RPE ones keep you spinning your wheels. I spent a few years at a meh intermediate level. After reading the grey book I’ve hit my first huge PR on DL in years with 455x5 and it’s hard. My other lifts are slowly going up as well. I think I have a solid path in my head where I’ll need to mod my personal 4 day Texas method to keep making gains once my 5RMs stop working.
Thanks guys. Sorry for the long comment lol

I had fried octopus last night. You have to be really quiet when you eat it. Otherwise, it emits a cloud of black smoke and falls on the floor.

I like that the bald werewolf and Iron Mustache are a bigger focus of the show, makes it even more watchable once their sound and video presence was given proper attention, just not too much attention.
