Just can't imagine this ever happening here in the UK, without an almighty outpouring of mercy and grace on our formerly God-hearing country. What a wonderful sight and sound! I was converted as an 18 year -old when they sang this hymn. I believed the gospel but no one told me what I had to do, until I heard these lyrics and God Himself called me.... I responded with all my heart and was powerfully born again. Have loved this hymn ever since. Btw, the American tune is way better than the dirgy British one.... 💜

This is the church in corporate worship, a humble gathering of believers lifting their voices to Christ. No blaring instruments, no one holding a microphone, no one performing. Everyone can hear himself/herself. I'm a baby boomer, and I've played drums in 2 worship bands-- but I would not do so again, because of what it has become. My generation, to its shame, initiated and presided over a disfiguring transformation of Christian corporate worship. We perversely misinterpreted "Sing unto the Lord a new song" as code for Throw out the hymns. We allowed worship to morph into something far more like a rock concert, most of it at decibel levels that cause irreversible harm to the ear. God bless all of you in this video, and in your larger congregation as well.
I agree with wholeheartedly. The same has happened in churches in our country as well. I love the Lord with all my heart, but worship time has become as you say, like a rock concert, added to that, ours is a small building!

You can still worship authentically with mic’s and instruments. It all depends on ones personal attitude is toward the worship. I play in a band and it is authentic worship and not a show, performance, or for personal gratification. Rather, it is praising and worshiping our Lord and Saviour.
That said, I agree that the “show” exists in some cases. To your point about this family, they are awesome. I love these videos of a family praising Go around the piano.
All I pray is 'Lord have mercy on me and on the whole world.' We desperately need the meat of the Word found in the doctrinal hymns of the church. Solid doctrine is missing or hidden by popular music. Tragic.
