I woke up very early with this hymn in my head! I hadn’t sung this in many years! I looked it up on TH-cam and found many versions of it, but the familiar cord changes weren’t there until I found yours! This is how I remember our congregation singing this song! What a blessing it is to hear it as I remember, with the beautiful cord changes and lovely voices! May our Lord Jesus continue to bless your music!

I come from a singing family..when we would get together we would sing hymns. The last time, there were about 65 of us..we were Church of Christ, so we did not use a piano...good memories...I now lead singing, a couple times a month, at a Southern Baptist Church. The older members love it when I break one of these older songs. I'm leading this Sunday, and this song will be in the service..

I just can not stop listening to this. I grew up is small country Appalachian Baptist Church with the Redback Hymnal but I never remember singing this song. It is pure awesome and I love the family around the piano.
I find myself listening to this song again. My Dad passed away in December while I was in the hospital fighting for my life. I can’t help but to think he’s in the haven of rest with our maker. At the time I clearly had no clue just how much my life would be impacted; especially by a pandemic. 💔🤍🤞🏼

Find a King James only independent fundamental Baptist church. Im sure there is one in your town.

This is my favorite hymn of all. It speaks volumes of the rest found in God.
If you are just a family then you are so blessed more then you could ever imagine. To have such a large beautiful, Christian faith, so close knitted etc. Is very rare. You have something we all wish we had. How very very blessed you all are.
