Feels like the Warriors are still deciding between transitioning into a youth movement or preparing to get a big star. They got a lot of value from the draft so far after all. Given I don't think many big stars are available I don't honestly mind just experimenting to see if the youths can develop into something and how good Klay comes back as, if Klay is fully ready to go then sure gamble all in one more time but if he isn't to start and may never be it might not be a bad idea to pull back a bit and get ready for the next era.

I personally feel like this year the Warriors are gonng be on the 'wait and see'. If Klay comes back almost as good as before and can play his game, they'll move in the Curry-Klay-Green way that they did before, with Wiggins coming off the bench. If Klay is having more issues, then they'll try to move him out to another team and get other pieces. It hurts to say it (cause Im a splash brothers fan), but its just business

The Heat had to retain Jimmy, they did. They couldn't trade their starting PG in the middle of a playoff push, so they had to let Nunn walk in FA. Duncan's contract is super tradeable and they got significantly better than they were last year with (Lowry/Tucker > Iggy/Goran). And if Oladipo is back at 100% the contract is a steal. They retained the key pieces, got better, and set themselves up with assets. That's a B+ off-season at the very least

You say make a trade for a star but there is no star out there for the warriors that would put the warriors over the nets lakers and bucks as the favorite. So why mortgage your future for an oppertunity to maybe compete at a higher level when you simply won’t even be close to winning a title and it’s not like the warriors had the cap space to play with either. If klay comes back as klay the warriors will be able to compete as best as they ever could. I don’t know why you would blame them for prioritizing the future. While still trying to compete.

I think he views them as a big loser this off season because most people were expecting the warriors to make a big push to get back into title contention… seeing them draft rookies and bank on potential of young players in back to back off season is just kinda weird and underwhelming for the standards we hold the warriors organization to

    • @markisded6494
      @markisded6494 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@mclovin1216 the thing is GSW made the best moves possible in their situation. Beal doesn’t wanna go, Simmons wouldn’t take us over the top, and giving up bright spots for the future for Myles Turner is stupid. They won the draft simply cuz some people were expecting moody to get picked at 7, but GSW got him at 14. Not to mention the additions of Bjelica, Porter JR, and most importantly iguodala would give the team shooting and more veteran leaderships. LOW was saying stuff like we didn’t improve on our weaknesses, but we added more shooting and players attacking the basket, while adding vets to a team that was full of young inexperienced players. What made this even worse for LOW, he didn’t put Portland as one of the biggest losers, despite making no improvements at all.

My 2 major disagreements with this video.
The Lakers are not Winners due to the westbrook trade. What does he bring you in the playoffs that Lebron James doesn't. Also low said how can the warriors spend that much money on a third option for Wiggins? The Lakers are spending 45 million for a ageing third option who can't shoot and you give them an A? B minus for me at best.
The Warriors are the Second best team in the West. The Nuggets don't have Murray and The Suns are the only other team I think that could come close to competing with the Warriors and Lakers. Porter, Ersan and Moody are all solid additions to the rotation with The Kum bucket and Wiseman being valuable projects. They don't need Turner, they have draymond, we always say what if Turner develops a 3 pointer? He doesn't try to so just stop it with that. Him and Draymond are redundant together and draymond is just flat out better.

We've signed like 3 vets. 1 of them being Iggy. Wiggins is going to improve his efficiency even more next season. Also Klay's back. Jordan poole improves at a rapid pace. He's a really great scorer. Kuminga and Moody might be able to contribute right away. Wiseman is still recovering from injury but he could be great next season. We got Otto porter jr who's a good 3pt shooter. Also a good 3pt shooting big who's capable of scoring in Nemanja Bjelica. JTA is also a great player and has a great work ethic. Wiggins is an elite 3rd option to have for scoring. He could be averaging 20. Warriors are in a contending spot already. They don't need to go out of their way and give up their future for a not even guaranteed championship.

I think the Kuminga will be good for the Warriors and he's raw so he definitely has room to grow. Moody is a good shooter so he should get a roster spot on a team that needed more shooting. I feel like pretending you can know where the warriors are gonna be at is BS. There are so many question marks and you can go from white to black with all the different shades of Grey in between...
1/How much of his former self is klay gonna be?
2/What kind of a leap from his rookie year Wiseman is going to take?
3/Wiggins is a very good third option/2 ways player especially if splash Brothers are healthy, will he continue to follow the path he was on last year?
4/ kuminga. Some people sell him like an NBA ready rookie. How much of that statement is gonna be true?
5/otto porter, is the guy going to manage to be healthy?
6/They might still trade for someone at some point. And in any case, one thing you can't say about that organization in the last decade is "they didn't have a plan"...
And I am not even asking about jta and Poole...
So depend how you answer all this questions, you can go from a very serious contender to a team struggling to get into the playoffs.
And as far as I know time machine don't exist yet so let's just wait and see... Personally I think it is quite existing to have that "blur" on a big team and I am super curious to watch em play.

The Drummond signing in my opinion was a decent one. Ben will most likely be traded, meaning they will not see the floor together, and Drummond will definetley not have minutes with embiid. Drummond can hold down the ship while embiid is injured and he is on a minimum contract. People also forget that doc rivers turns any big man into a god when he coached them.

Didn't do anything except improve chances to make playoffs as low seed. I like Lonzo signing for the future, but signing DeRozan after trading for Vucevic says "WIN NOW".
To even be better than BKN, MIL, or PHI,
They needed more pieces which they can no longer afford, and a better PG than Lonzo, like Lowry or Conley. Maybe pry Rozier from CHA.
Bulls didn't improve better than Miami and the Hornets signing Oubre is a better move than the whole bulls Off-season. That one addition makes the Hornets better than the Bulls.
So with my Celtics en route to a 5/6 seed, Bulls looking real play in tournament like
      BKN
      PHI
      MIL
      MIA
      ATL
