AIFD Design Test Preparation with Teacher Michelle

- Flower School LIVE takes a closer look at preparing for the AIFD hands-on design test. Teacher Michelle Headrick AIFD PFCI FDI will focus on the theories and techniques necessary for successful testing. Set your alarm for 3:00 PT on Wednesday, April 12th. These online prep classes are always my favorite presentations because I love the sophistication of the design and they bring a realization that at a younger age I would have chosen to specialize in corporate design. (This coming from someone who has never had any training or course work!). That being said, it also screams how important it is to learn the basics of element and design and techniques so that synthesis can evolve. This is a video as other prep videos that should be studied and required and reviewed as part of basic course work as a goal incentive. (Maybe they already are). Thanks to Michelle for her, as usual, sophisticated design concepts. I would have loved to have seen her completed design!

In those cases, we suggest the floral department at the local supermarket or perhaps ordering flowers to be shipped to your area. There are few floral companies who will do that. Hello SD! That's a great question, and we think you might be asking about fatsia leaves. They are visible in this photo, and Teacher Michelle used them in her first design for this Live. They are large, flat leaves that are wide, shiny, and dark green, and they are marvelous for creating interest in the design and for covering mechanics like foam really well. Leanne often adds them to her floral designs as well because they are so attractive and interesting. Another leave we use is aspidistra and it has a similar shiny surface, but they have a long length and sometimes come variegated Thank you very much for taking time to watch our show and we hope you learned a lot from it. hi, love your videos and preparing to my PFDE with you❤. Could you tell me please if I take 5 courses at AIFD and get the 5 certificates after online test for each about compliting all courses(I get 80%+ for each) does that mean that I already can use lovely letters CFD after my name? Thank you

Some designs are very hard to transport by van; especially when there are lots of arrangements to stuff in the van.
That's very true, Cheeky Monkey! It can be a bit of a puzzle to arrange things in the van for delivery, and sometimes you have to assemble your arrangements on-site because of their size. Thanks for sharing your perspective and for watching our show, Camilo! It's really a matter of personal taste. Some people like more contemporary floral designs while others prefer classic designs.
