That's an excellent question, Jennifer! So far we haven't found anything that works so we remove the stamens because they stain fabric and even the flowers themselves rather badly. That's an excellent question, Karen! Clear nail polish is sometimes used to keep lily pollen intact so it doesn't disintegrate and stain the flowers or any fabric underneath them like a tablecloth. I am going to have to "that person" but every time I go to my florist, whom I love, he is always backed up with having to do funeral flowers. However, I have never seen that type of arrangement addressed on this channel. Is it addressed in the courses? It seems to be a large proportion on business right now. I know it isn't fun to focus on death but.....it is a part of reality and being a florist. Just hoping you might mention it or maybe give an example of why or why not. Thanks.

You asked about the differences between the green and black foam. They are essentially the same material but different colors, and the black foam is often considered a dramatic part of the design and will blend in to it whereas the green foam is strictly a mechanic that needs to be fully covered with flowers and foliage.
