Father Terrance, you always bring me back to trust completely in our Lord, especially during trials. Jesus never leaves us. He gave His life for us. Why then would I dare feel lost when He saved me. Thank you for your words ❤🙏

Thanks Fr Terrance I needed this today. Currently I find the thing that causes me the most anxiety frustration and disturbance of peace is when things are not going right with my children and if they don't get good grades at school - or are not getting the help they need at School. We cannot homeschool - its not a choice we have - so my kids are in a local school - where I believe they are not really being helped as much as they can be and the teachers are not very good. I find it hard to know how much to push my children/change things with the teachers and how much to let go and leave to God?
As usual I love your homilies. The one issue I often have with the idea of not watching the news or avoiding all of that is that it also takes us away from society. How do we balance listening to God and being an active participant in our culture if we don't watch what's going on around us. I am on politics and wish, often, that the church could see what is happening around us instead of ignoring it. I understand the point, for sure, but there's a balance that we need.
I agree with you, Robert. Balance is the key. We need to work to make a change for the good but not "extinguish the Spirit" at the same time. If we ask the Holy Spirit to guide us, He'll help us find the right balance. God bless!
