This video is spot on. They turned a potentially fun idea into a tedious, joyless grinding. Everything that sounded great about this update is not really there. You can't really name your Brahmin, only pick names from a list. You can't really decorate the outpost, only pick from a set of readymade styles. The player has to pay caps to run an event that gives almost no reward, except for a currency that can only be used to run the event. It's like a contest where the price is ticket to participate in the contest again.
The dialogue is actually from a hidden camera at Bethesda corporate offices. With animated characters used to hide the identity of the actual people. 😆
Bathesda still farming nostalgia while simultaneously evaporating my immersion and any caps above 40,000 right into uncle Howard’s pockets. Wow. This Company… this company never changes.
I have a like/hate relationship with the cow chasing simulator. I'm mostly playing it to get the new weapon plans (and Theo who has an accent similar to mine), but I probably won't bother after that.

I don't even remember what point I was trying to make, I think I was being defensive because people keep hurrying my brahmin when I'm trying to pick up loot then I gotta keep catching back up instead of hurrying the brahmin on my own time lol. But I think I'm gonna start referring to it as the brahmin chasing simulator hahahaha
It's kind of weird that we just abandon the supplies by the side of the road at the end of the quest. Genuinely, putting a recipient of the supplies waiting the piles of boxes so at least someone is there to pick it up before the bandits we've been fighting off get them.
@@Gamer_Aviator it would be a really obvious improvement to reverve areas on the route where a special camp slot for player outposts can spawn in. If we had a small area, we could set up a camp and use similar systems to the new blue ribbon camps to have the map full with the outposts of the players on the map. Yes, it would mean the outposts move around the map a bit, between preexisting nodes, but it would make more sense than abandoning the supplies.
This is perfect levels of sarcasm, much love for this video! Bethesda always seems to take a notion from the players and twist it into a mess. We want story, caps sink and hoard mode style events/things. Instead we get exposition vomit, grind and the buggiest escort style mission in the franchise. I would also like more camp-able locations opened up; events and preexisting loc be damned. Reminds me of the dialogue debacle of FO4. Players hated the oversimplified dialogue wheel and lack of meaningful skill/stat checks moving away from rpgs (voiced protag wasnt really an issue for me). So in bethesdas infinite wisdom 76 had NO npcs at launch and very little dialogue, just mountains of exposition holotapes and robots. Course corrected with wastelanders but how many times do they have to touch a hot stove before they learn.
Here is how that pitch meeting actually went: BOSS - We need new content, stat. What do people have? GUY - Well we have that quest Free Range that no one likes; we could make it exactly the same but take longer, Oh, and we can add another new currency. BOSS: Brilliant!
😂 The best satire is indistinguishable from reality. I think I might not have minded all the superfluous BS as much if they had used any other event as the model. 🤘

9:06 Wait, is there a limit? I saw 8 caravans just a hour ago. Three were grouped up, the rest spread out. It was chaotic, but fun. Someone was blasting Convoy over their mic.
And we should add difficult enemies, like Oguas, so the players think there will be an epic battle, but the Ogua should walk away after being shot three times.
@@MrThndrkiss75 f4 already has a system for summons so the mechanic is there already. Just make it a repair thing, easy easy. Summon, repair, repeat. Would give camps a last stand vibe.

@@KarmaKultist I do understand the grind, but sometimes while doing repetitive non fun stuff in games to get a certain in game object, I’m asking myself is it really worth it 😅 if they were to give you like a full new suit of power armor maybe I’d be more keen to play it
They should have pacifist mode for caravans, and then PVP mode for caravans. That way players could enter someone else’s caravan and take their loot in for the reward… Would make for some more fun and excitement.
I haven't seen one person say that they love this event. You're the first person that I've seen who has tried to defend it. That's great if you enjoy it, don't get me wrong. That just feels like an unusual take to me.
@@perceivedvelocity9914 I haven’t been alone on a single run. The decree of participation, both in caravans and those supporting it, speaks for itself. I doubt people are supporting my caravans for a measly 10% (which Bethesda just announced they will increase in the next patch). Perhaps people like traveling in packs blowing things up by the side of the road. Go figure!

You could just not continuously hurry the brahmin so you're not sprinting for 5 minutes straight then you won't be chasing it
