UNEXPECTED HOMECOMING | PARENTS FORCED TO TRAVEL HOME FROM UKRAINE

- Due to everything going on in the world, Chelle's parents have been asked to return home from their mission in Ukraine for the time being along with all other senior missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the world. This news came very last minute to everyone, so Dan and Chelle quickly prepared their home so they would have somewhere to stay once they arrive. The whole family did their best to make this unexpected homecoming as happy as possible by making signs to welcome them home!

That sweet hug between you and your mom hit me in the feels. She was probably feeling so many emotions: joy to to be home and see everyone, sadness having to leave a place they love, uncertainly about the future of their mission and what’s next, exhaustion after traveling for so long. And what she needed was a hug from her best friend 😭

Everything happens for a reason! Even if it's not what we want. So blessed that they have a wonderful family and place and loving home to go to. 🙏 DAN is the BESTEST hubby next to mine. 😁 Were SO lucky to gave such great hubby's.

I just got the worse news recently about my Mom. Stomach cancer and they just found out today that it has spread. It wasn't the outcome we were hoping and praying for but it is what it is. Please keep my sweet Mommy in your prayers. This is going to be the hardest thing we've ever faced. My Mom is my world. 😢😢

Even with no symptoms, you can be a carrier and all 4 should be in quarantine for 14 days! This is how the virus spreads, when people continue to go out after being in contact with those coming home from travel from another country!

I am so happy they made it home safe and sound! I cried watching Michelle hug her momma. Our trip to see my parents got cancelled because of Coronavirus, so I will not see them for another 2-3 years because our family is serving in the Middle East. My heart is broken. Will you both now be quarantining at home too, since mana and papa are living with you and could be carrying the virus? Here in Bahrain, home quarantine is not an option because they do not want to possibly infect the people at home, so they send everyone arriving to government isolation for 2 weeks before rejoining the rest of the population.

Quarantine, the families can be on sidewalk and grandparents can be standing at ront steps. The kids might want to physically really see Grandparents. I took my child care boys ( I am a child care Nanny), I took the boys to sing Happy Birthday to neighbor friend who turned 5, under quarantine. She was on her front steps, we were on sidewalk and sang happy birthday to her. She was so happy to see us. I bet having grandkids see grandparents in person will be special, even at a distance. Welcome home to the weary travelers. 😘

In Canada any international travelers have to self isolate and quarantine (no going to the store) for 14 days, not sure if they have the same rules there but if they live with you will the two of you also have to stay in the house for two weeks since they’ll potentially be exposing you to the virus? Enjoy the time with your family.
Caitlyn, her parents will be required to self isolate, Dan and Chelle would only have to do the same if they don't keep 6 ft social distancing. The church has guidelines that they are having returned missionaries follow, no matter what country they came from or are returning to.
Yea, but she also hugged her mom for like 10 mins when she first got there in the airport... understandably, but still..
Being in a car with them is less than 6 feet for more than 10 minutes.

OMG i cried like a baby when i saw your parents at the airport. I cried again like a baby watching them read all the signs from the grand babies and kids and i cried again when they got to there room. Im so so so happy they made it home safely and very healthy and in great spirits. Now praying that these 2 weeks can FLYYYYYYYYYYYYY BY so they can be reunited with the whole family again.
