My first 57 was a 4-door hardtop. I love the roofline on those. Unfortunately, it had 2 too many doors on it so I stripped it off all the good stuff and put it in my 2 door that I still have from 74.
I agree, but the tunnel ram won’t fit on this engine. Wasn’t my first choice for the transmission either but the car is on the road and that was the most important thing. The engine and transmission are being saved for a future project.
Why would anyone think 35 psi is anywhere like norm even at idle,on a fresh bigblock, sorry just don't understand, am I wrong or do you need to take a look at the bypass spring in oil pump, or maybe just replace the thing with one that works good, just seems to low on a fresh cool somewhat cool running bbc, fresh chevy, sounds awsum
The idle oil pressure will be fine. It has almost 65 psi of oil pressure just off idle. This is a blueprint crate, engine carb to pan. If it affects the long-term engine life, I will let you know on the next episode the car is in.
I always thought if the front hanger is solid and the back swings when you are driving and hit a bump/ pothole the wheel will swing up and back instead of up and forward.
I like the stance. Not a fan of that rack and pinion setup seems overly complicated for a gasser. I'd cut those quarters and get some bigger tries in the back just a better look IMO.
42:13 the horses knew they were outnumbered!

how many other people was trying to look over the dash during the test run?
Lol! It’s hard to shift and hold the camera at the same time but I’ll work on that
Any thoughts on getting the factory gauges working or possibly going digital in the future?
We do plan on changing the gauges, just don’t know what to yet. The speedometer is locked up
New sub. Mom's side of family is Mississippi Gentry's.
Awesome! Gentry was passed down through family. It’s my first name

With 900+ hp hope they didn't forget anything else in the tranny lol, ain't got no oil in it!! I subscribed
Seems kinda sad to start out with a tunnel ram and a four speed and end up with a single carb and an automatic

@@gentrysgarage7956 I hear ya but you have to admit it had a great look with the old setup
I agree!
* * * * That looks like Central Texas .

* * * * Don't you want the front spring hanger to be solid and the rear with the shackles for better stability?
They are ran both ways
@@gentrysgarage7956 shackles go on same side as drag link.
i build custom 1/24 scale models. let me know if you would be interested in any replicas of your sweet cars
Always had better luck with automatic instead of stick behind big blocks
Put a Jericho or Liberty trans in it.
O.K. I'm signed up...let's get your channel growing!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!

I’m not a fan of the rack and pinion myself
