    Some teams just have a magical cloud around them all season, from start to finish. The 2018 Red Sox had that. And then some. I saw them play in 4 different cities that year, including sitting 100 feet behind home plate for the final out of the world series at Dodgers Stadium. This squad was a TRAIN.

    • @Kaoticreeper
      @Kaoticreeper 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the team was elite, our no.5 starter was eovaldi who ended up having his breakout season that year, no mainstay player hit below .250 all year, but it wasnt the stats it was timing, if we got 6 hits in a game they would all be in the same inning with a massive rally, honestly watching them play i felt like we could lose

    This was a great at bat, but what really made this at bat is Eck yelling “YAAAAAAAY” right after Mookie hits it

      Savage, got to agree. It's almost as bad as when Brooks Robinson started doing Orioles' broadcasts (I lived in Balto. for awhile) and he'd squeal like a little girl when an Oriole would hit one out. Very uncool. I don't mind Eck being a homer, but don't cheer like a fan; you're a broadcaster. Say something useful.

    That’s the Best AB I’ve seen.. and a signature moment (to add to the list) for the future 2018 MVP. For my money, Mookie’s the Best player in baseball. And he for sure is this season. You look at Trout and he’s played 20 more games than Mookie, but only has 2 more HR’s & 1 more RBI... imagine Mookie’s stats with 20 more games in the line.. He’s ridiculously talented in ALL aspects of the game. Let’s take a look- Fastest hands in baseball. Exceptional pitch recognition ability. Exceptional hand-eye coordination. Elite base runner. Multi Gold Glove- Best RF in the game. This AB really just does a nice job summing up how remarkable Mookie Betts is.... Ya Betts believe.

    Even as Life long Yankee fan, I will say this kid is a special talent and a lot of fun to watch! He was my first round pick in fantasy, so when he got fired up after he hit it, it got me fired up. He rarely shows emotion like that. He's very humble, much like my boy Judge.

    When Mookie Betts sent that ball to SeeYaLatersville, he really had that thing smoking the whole way out of the park, not even into the bleachers, but way up and over that big green monster. I love baseball. Always have. Ever since I met Al McBean of the Pittsburgh Pirates when I was a kid. He wasn't a famous player, or even a good one by comparison to people like Bill Mazeroski, Carl Yaztremski, Mickey Mantle or Roger Maris, or others back during that time, but he loved the game with an infection that's still inside of me to this day.

    From an Astros fan...Mookie is this year's MVP thus far. It looks like it'll be Boston's year to take it.....again. Let's hope it's Red Sox vs Astros in ALCS!!

    Best home run of the incredible 2018 Red Sox season. And in my opinion probably the best home run of the 2018 MLB season.

    Mookie Betts....the small player with a really big heart. Reminds me of Dustin Pedroia. Small in stature but a huge heart and played the game with passion

    Love this but thank god they introduced the pitching clock because that’s just brutal to sit through.

  • @nathanradzelovage5523

    Mookies knowledge of the strike zone, ability to adapt to pitchers, hit bad balls, obliterate mistakes, endure tough at-bats, make contact with all pitches, and play multiple positions very well is what makes Mookie all but statistically better than Trout. I’m not even a Boston fan and I would pick Mookie every time. Besides, he actually helps his team win.
