I love how they portray Kory is a mother figure to the team. Though, it is sad to see how Gar would hide his pain from the rest of the team, or as best as he can.

Tbf although it wasn’t originally a thing with starfire in more recent teen titans media (before titans was ever in pre production) they have portrayed her as being a mother figure. Like in the animated universe where nightwing was still teen robin he and the other titans his age met her and then grew up and trained the new generation which was raven beast boy terra etc. so like the building blocks to make Kori a mother figure were there it’s just each different dc universe has its own originality to how they portray her like that. Like I think the original teen titans show is the only animated universe where all the core titans are the same age
