Luscious. Sinopoli's conducting is esp sumptuous and the orchestra very responsive. Domingo and Ramey are in particularly robust and magnanimous form, and a cast bonus of having Terfel as Angelotti. Freni holds her own nicely, though by 1990, when this was recorded at All Saint's Church in London, a bit of the bloom had faded. Of course we have it in our collection, and we recommend it highly.
