Travis, nice word choice, GREAT review, thank you! Ran in my Lone Peak 6s for the first time on a limestone river path. As for slimy rock terrain, BEST EVER trail shoes in my known world were Adidas trail runners from the early 90s! Doing research on which pair they were...
great review! thanks for all the insight. I agree- wonderful recovery shore to stretch things out or work on agility - I also use for hill repeats. Still have yet to find an Altra shoe that works in anything but dry conditions on technical trails.
I ran a technical 100 miler last year in a pair of Lone Peak 3.0, traction on wet rocks was fine but maybe because my pace was slow. This year I finally upgraded to Speedgoat 5, whose outsole seems to be stickier...
Different shoe to me from Lp 5,found them to soft would feel too many rocks so stuck with speedgoats 6 seems noticeably more lively and also protective, and little bit of support in heal they added seems great on cross slopes Big fan
Hi, thank you for your review. I will be using the LP6 on mostly rock and dirt, I am sure it will be wet at times. Your comments about "ok" grip seem to be in line with most. I intend to be walking more than running for the upcoming hikes in Albania (National Park Prokletije) area. From my experience in Croatia, rocky is the main terrain so I am glad for the plate. I used the Salomon OutPulse last year...too much heal. Most will be wearing super thick hiking boots I am assuming, do you feel the LP6 is a good choice? Thank you for your assistance, take care.

Get 5mm gel heel lifts. Takes care of the zero drop overuse issues until you adapt.
Best shoe reviewer! Thanks for the info about the sizing.

Did you notice anything with the toe box folding a lot? I’m testing them right now and I’m just scared of wearing out that crease point too fast
The lugs in front caused me to trip too easily, so I sanded them down half way. Worked great.
Good for everyday wear ?
