He never once went to church with me, we didn't even get married in a church. My thoughts and feelings on certain issues in our relationship never mattered to him. I made excuses for his behavior and decided that this is what a relationship is about and I should keep trying. He was my first serious boyfriend so sadly, I just didn't know any better. He was emotionally abusive and I never realized it until my marrige was at that breaking point.
Btw speaking as an RN with 10 years experience, the reason why the medical system is truly so backwards on preventative health and wellness tests is because the industry is entirely run by the insurance companies. And insurance companies will fight the providers who order these tests saying there has to be a super specific problem or diagnosis in order to justify coverage. That’s why if you’re overall “healthy” on the outside, clinics will give you a hard time ordering extra tests even if they are effective and could be a potentially missing link. For example, so many anemic women I see get their hemoglobin drawn and most of the time it’s normal - there’s at least 5 other kinds of things that could be low (NOT just your hemoglobin) that could be making you anemic and super fatigued. It’s truly a business and it’s very sad that it dictates how things are run. So many things could be caught so much earlier.

I got my blood drawn last week and was worried about my levels because I’ve been chewing ice like crazy, tired and feeling out of it. My levels have been low in the past. Currently Hemoglobin is a 12 and the doctor said it’s fine. But I saw my MCV, MCH are low and my RDW-CV is high. They’re saying it’s normal, but not according to my ice maker.
So during the pandemic, I watched a video about you encouraging us single ladies to go do things on our own. And I bought a ticket for my first solo concert ☺️ since then I’ve attended several concerts on my own!! Thanks for the encouragement! Building a single life I love.

I am 34 years old I have never been married at all. Not even came close to even being proposed to. I go out and sit at places by myself. I don't have any men approaching me at all. No matter how good I look or casual at times. I feel like God has forgotten about me. In college love didn't find me at all. And with me living in Austin,TX. there isn't a lot of black men who want to date black women. I usually see the black men with white women or hispanic women and barely with anybody who looks like me. I haven't been on a date in years. I am working towards switching careers from teaching to the Healthcare field. I just can't continue to be in a career where I am not making the money that I want. Plus I am grieving the loss of my grandmother. I feel like I am not pretty enough either I have always gotten rejected or don't have a lot of men pursuing me or even courting me. It's like what's wrong with me what am i doing wrong. I am getting therapy for it. Because I feel like I am not good enough. I know there are women out here who are doing way better than me. Plus I don't have any kids. I am not quite sure if i want any. And the men that do approach me I am not physically attracted to. I haven't met anyone that really has a awesome relationship with God and also has morals and standards like me. Yeah I haven't met someone who wants to get married. You’re in your 30s which makes it harder. You’re competing with women who are hotter and younger than you. That’s challenge 1. So you can either get plastic surgery and look better, or stay the way you are and keep being sad. Challenge 2. Is that you’re only looking at black men. Your age and limited desire to date only one race is why you haven’t found anyone. Time to make a change
God hasn’t forgotten about you. He’s hidden you. Continue focusing on therapy and make sure to focus daily on your relationship with God. He will refine you and with time with Him and in therapy, your view of yourself should increase and you will truly believe that God hasn’t allowed it because it isn’t yet time. Allow God to change you to the point where you are so content with Him and desire to only be with His best for you. All you need is one man when the time is right. Let God prepare you two for each other. Enjoy your single season. There are women who are suffering through marriage because they didn’t recognize what they wanted and who they were in Christ when they were single. So they accepted less than God’s best. You have the opportunity to impact generations to come in your family by becoming the best God wants you to be. And that starts with seeing yourself as His beautiful creation. He knew you before He formed you in your mother’s womb. And if you’re looking to switch careers, now is the time to figure that out. Allow Him to walk you into what He has called you to do. Give Him the steering wheel and let Him direct your life.
My advice is to go outside of your city to meet men, try online dating, and use discernment. Have standards and boundaries that you do not bend on. Keep your relationship with God at the forefront. He may not have brought anyone into your life because you’re not living in your purpose. What are you passionate about? How can you use that passion to serve God? I hope this helps Kayla 💕💕
God says in the Bible, He who finds a wife finds a good thing. God did not say she who finds a husband. Instead, he said he who finds a wife. So, a husband is supposed to find a wife. And we got to be wives (not girls or girlfriends) before we are even found. So, Brittany Gold is right, we got to work on our relationship with the Lord, seek Him, see His heart and do His bidding joyfully and improve ourselves. And we let our husbands find us. We don't have to go find our husbands or even care about how many people are attracted to us or not. Very informative video. The part where you mentioned the counterfeit is soo true because I was approached by one at CHURCH. Tried to deceiveee me ! I didn't get emotionally invested and it didn't go anywhere beyond him speaking to me at church. Perhaps my work schedule protected me because I was busy. I told myself with that challenge if it's something he will go through the tests of time. He didn't and he shared some information with me as to why he was acting the way he acted and PRAISE GOD for his protection and me taking my time.

Right now, God has me cutting off my toxic family so that I can move on and live my life with only Him before He brings my tribe into my life. God is also going to have me go back to therapy to heal too.

I wasn't looking for a relationship. Sworn off dating and waiting on God for my spouse. My ex pursued me. He was consistent, generous and kind. He told me the Lord brought us together. I was the one. God did something SUPER similar in my life - I went from a broken engagement to meeting my now husband and having a baby within a year. I resonate so much with your story even though we are different in background and denomination. I feel a sisterhood for sure.
I would * love * a video on how to be my own best friend - what that looks like when you’re single and what that looks like as a wife. My big problem is losing who I am now that I am married and with children.

Also. I turned 21 in January. God revealed some things to me about my husband and when we will meet. Am i too young to get married and how should i be preparing for him/it? I didn't grow up desiring marriage and never really thought about it before God spoke to me about it.
No your not too young. I don't plan on any romance or 'dating' till I'm engaged or married.

I wasn't looking for a relationship. Sworn off dating and waiting on God for my spouse. My ex pursued me. He was consistent, generous and kind. He told me the Lord brought us together. I was the one. He had unhealed trauma and after a small misunderstanding just left me! He had a rejection spirit. Insecurities.He couldn't talk it out or pray with me. Just abandoned me. This was over a year ago. I moved far from him but i realize i still love him. Any thoughts?

Brittany I just found your TH-cam. I've enjoyed the video. I wanted to know what you meant by not all of us are called by God to marry? I ask this because because I'm 27 single and I don't have many friends and the friends I do have are in relationship and two of them are getting married. I guess I'm very worried about being alone or that God doesn't have anyone for me. Like maybe I'm too flawed to have anyone. I guess my question is how do you become comfortable with the possibility that you may be single forever? That thought just scares me and makes me sad.
