Hi, I have the exact setup. On the Garmin striker 4 in the settings under alarms what should u put the setting to if battery goes below a certain voltage! I know battery is 12v. Thank you. Dan
@@huntermcdermott3823 Hey Boss, Gonna be hard for me to help troubleshoot electronics without me being there. Could be a myriad of issues. I wish I could help more here. What I would be doing is typing into google troubleshooting the particular fish finder.

Daren buddy I got a problem with my noqua battery. When I plug it in to charge it flashes blue. Can you help me? I’m confused on it. I’m not sure what it is because everyone keeps saying it’s flashing green or red in their post. Most of the time I can figure out electronics. But I’m lost on this. The only option I can find is buy another one. I appreciate your help if you can bro.!
Hello, I just purchased tons of items for my 1st kayak so that being... Currently waiting for the battery and striker 4. What did you end up doing with those extra cables of the fish finder?
My understanding that Echomap reinforces sonar. The Echomap is a series of fishfinder and chart plotter devices that combine GPS AND sonar technology to provide detailed underwater mapping capabilities, as well as navigation and some other things
@@wendellfishing alright cool thank you, one more question man if you don’t mind. I’m going to buy a yak attack side track transducer mount. Would that be best towards the front or the back of my kayak?
Great video and thanks for sharing!!! When I clicked on your link for the Garmin Striker 4 on Amazon, it had a small battery ExpertPower 12V 7 Amp EXP1270 Rechargeable Lead Acid Battery..... are these batteries any good or is the Noqcua Pro Power Kit Battery (10AH) a much better battery? TIA
Hey TKF, The NOCQUA Pro Power battery is rated for all 12V devices. From there you would need to determine the draw of your finder. the draw will either be listed in Ah (amps per hour) or mAh (milliamps per hour). Once you have that number and keeping the units consistent, divide the capacity of the Pro Power Kit (i.e. 10Ah or 10,000mAh/4.4Ah or 4,400mAh) by the draw of the device. The number remaining will be the average run time in hours of the device powered by a fully charged NOCQUA Pro Power Battery.
Had a nocqua battery. Connectors were bad, loose wire. Had to send it back. They sent a replacement and with that one I had low voltage issues. Fish finder would shut down. Eventually got a refund and went with a different battery. Maybe just bad luck.
@@wendellfishing Was a bummer. Liked the nocqua, the size and weight are great. Bought a$30 battery from Walmart. Cant remember the brand but it does the job.

Nice but what if you have other fish finders you want to connect quickly sort of like just plugging them in.
Thats a great question boss.. I would have to do some research on that one.
I own a pressure washing business and we use trailer 2pin flat connectors on allot of our things that need swapped quickly like softwash pumps!

Thanks for the info. This really helps me out for when I will need to set up my fish finder in the spring

Great to hear from you.. I would love to have an answer for you.. but never messed with it.. But I also just charge the batter after every use
Nice! Just in time for me as well! Also, any updates on the gorilla tread tape as a keel guard?
Hey Jesse, I haven't taken it out enough (it's my buddy kayak) to be to test it to give any type of recco on it yet.

How many hours do you get out of this battery with the garmin 4 ?
I know you show a nocquca 10ah battery but do you have another one you like for the same money or less for a GARMIN Stiker 4 fish finder
TBH, I never really tried anything else.
My dad uses that battery and he loves it. I’ll have to look into getting one for myself haha
For sure! It's a solid battery and I liked the set up
Do you put the battery in the inside compartment with the transducer or leave it on top of the kayak?
Hey Josh, I put the batter,y down in the front hatch.
Will this power an electric anchor as well as a fish finder and speakers
You would need some type of electrical manifold and probably not a great option to power multiple items
What do you do if you can't get a connection? My garmin will not turn on at all regardless of how much I try
Hey hunter…. Same setup as the video? Or different battery?
@@wendellfishing same set up, different garmin. It's the striker 5 cv, but it's all the same wiring

Not really unless you splice or create some type of manifold.

Would the 4.4 ah battery also work for a striker 4?
The Garmin Striker 4 uses . 23 amps an hour. a 4.4AH should last you all day
