The Search Continues.......If you are new to the channel, Welcome! This is the continuation of what started as a late summer adventure into the depths of Alaska outdoors by a out of state visiting friend, Part 1: • Alaska Rescue Mission ...
The call to the Alaska State Troopers is made.......
We take a helicopter into the mountainous location where my friend was last seen on November 3rd, 2018.
His hike was intended to spend time off the grid enjoying Alaska. He didn't want to be bothered and asked to be left alone. Fast forward to December 23rd, 2018, the concern level is thru the roof and a mystery is at hand.
This is not a regular adventure trip this channel contains, this was filmed for the family of the missing friend in hopes of a good outcome.
Being prepared when you venture into the outdoors is critical, don't ever underestimate the power of nature.

@@francesgarcia2969 I was a only child for 7 years then a brother was born but we were never close because we were too different from each other and too much of a difference in ages. So I was lonely, I wanted a pet really badly but my mom never allowed that either, I wanted friends but found that most children didn’t want to be friends with a smart girl with an IQ of 150, so I was very lonely. I did meet a man who was intelligent and valued higher education so he became my best friend and my husband. People in Alaska are great people, I’ve been there several times and I think because there are so few of them and it’s a hard life, I think they look out for each other.

A year ago, Andrew Corcoran commented, “Everyone should have a friend like this guy.” Indeed, you are the definition of what a friend is. Very sad not to have found him, but I’m going with the narrative that ole boy did not want to be found, and he is out there living and surviving completely on his own; and one day, he’ll come out of the shadows and have a helluva tale to share.

I hope you find him with a clean shave, fresh haircut and sitting in a hot bathtub somewhere enjoying the scenery. 14 miles off the main road is not that far out for a guy to disappear without a single trace. Maybe people that do that don't want to be found. He obvioisly boarded up before he left. Hopefully he met a friend and just moved on.

The moose being shot is very suspicious. The timing and location would put the missing guy seeing or running into the poachers. I'm more afraid of people than animals. My faith in humanity is slipping. I pray for your friend.

Refreshing read these comments. I tried watching another video about a missing plane found in Chili. The comments were awful and just sick. Your two comments just gave me back a little hope. Sending love and light to all families and friends whose lives were torn apart by this sad event. ❤️
My understanding from friends in Alaska is you can hunt anytime of the year if you are hunting for the survival of your family and you are a resident of Alaska and have registered as a person who hunts for sustenance. My husband's friend fishes in Hunts year-round but he only takes what he needs to supply for his family and he shows his ID and everything if he gets stuck and he doesn't have anybody he did not go hunting when he had my husband with him because he didn't want them to question why someone from California was with him in his truck they just went to Dawson and went gambling LOL so if he ran across somebody who was poaching it had to be somebody from out of state who did not have the legal right to be hunting unless maybe they don't allow you to hunt Moose I don't know but if it's a a First Nations person they're allowed to hunt anytime they want so something's wrong here I don't think they'll be finding the guy alive he's gone they don't show up the first 6 months you know when spring hits they can come out of wherever they stayed for safety but someone has put him somewhere.

All of these strangers coming together for the life of a man they do not know. This gives me hope. I know statistically he most likely won’t be found but I have to continue to hope. One thing that I have ALWAYS taught my students was to NEVER EVER take HOPE away from a family or a patients loved one. It is all they have and if you take that from them they have nothing. It costs nothing for you to leave someone with HOPE but it costs them everything if you take it away from them. To pray for someone costs nothing either. Make that time to send your love and good thoughts out to someone. It does count.

Im sure you're a wonderful young woman who means well, but your lack of real experience blinds you to the difference between false hope and true hope. False hope almost always brings so much extra grief and suffering when it crashes down. A lot of times leading to suicide. Ive been all over the world and witnessed the most unspeakable acts of savagery and suffering and anyone who's experienced life at its most desperate point would never make the comment you made. You should teach your students death is as natural as birth and to fear it in a way that you delude yourself can have even more horrifying affects then the previous incident which caused the reach for "hope"

Cabin logbooks are a great idea it’s too bad not more people use them.
Also more folks should leave doors open so that if somebody needs a refuge they have it!
We have a logbook at our remote cabin NE of Lake Louise Alaska (approximately 16 miles from Lk. Louise Lodge) anyway we leave the cabin unlocked with rules and instructions for any visitors. Dozens of people have signed " "the book." Our cabin is responsible for saving several lives due to the fact that folks who were hurt, cold, wet, in trouble, or lost were able to use the cabin make a fire, eat some food, etc. Just about everyone signs the book and we've made some great friends as well. Remote cabins are a lot of work but totally worth it. Can't wait to get back up for Caribou and Moose in Sept. 2020. My brother just got back (April 15th 2020) they caught some Lake Trout and trophy Burbot on the 100's of no name Lakes in the area.
Be safe and be prepare for anything...don't become a statistic.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALASKA!! I was fortunate to have been able to see some of your beautiful state. It’s been years since I was there and I can imagine that a person could just vanish without a trace, living in the wilderness has got to be somewhat rewarding and not in ways.

Quite a few years ago while visiting my daughter in Anchorage, I decided to walk into town and take the bus to Peters Landing and back (during Christmas holidays) . I will never forget the man on the bus who got off before going into Eagle River and was going to walk to Wasilla. I will never forget this encounter. I of course stayed on bus and returned to Anchorage. There I got cold and had daughter come pick me up. I hope he made it.

I have seen people who respond to the horrible losses of other families with such a "so what?" attitude it drives me crazy. It seems that too many people simply have no souls. Is it another sign of the times? Possibly.

I've been to Hatcher's Pass , many years ago.....to the old gold mine...an awesome trip!
on the other hand, it was 80 + degrees at Anchorage and Ninilcic when I was there.
I went to hatchers pass in 2010 it was so beautiful up there

I watched the whole series of these and it seems to me your friend has made all the signs of wishing to be gone. It is so sad that so many people show the signs but nobody picks up on them.

I just lost my best male friend today, who I thought was a great guy, but sadly he proved me wrong after 12 years. We all need true friends like this gentleman.

Vladimir is still missing. We haven't heard from him since then, and there are no updates from the authorities.
However, we haven't lost hope that we will find him, so the search continues...

I'm so sorry about your friend. I too have experienced having a friend go missing without a trace, and there being some strange anomalies. Like the disappearance of the car he drove that night never turning up anywhere in whole or in parts. It's been 32years now. I pray for you, his family, and he, that you will get your answers soon. @Grape Ape u say ur friends car nor he was ever found? Mind me asking where ur from or better yet, what area he went missing in? I ask because it seems more and more these days that when a person disappears and their car is never found either, theyr in the water! Just in the past year I bet Iv seen 8-10 videos on here where a car has been found submerged and the person is still in there. I’d be looking at bodies of water where u live that are close to the road. Chances are he may have run off the road or fell asleep at the wheel and veered off and hit the water! Good luck & god bless
@@chrisemerson515 Randy disappeared from Linwood Kansas. Alot of the water has been searched. The channel Adventures With Purpose has been here twice and will be back again soon. One thing that is very problematic in his case, is in the minutes before he was last seen, he didn't have his keys. It is my belief that the car was disposed of rather than he himself running off the road. His name is Randy Leach if you want to look up his case.

We share the same last name and I have a cousin with a very similar first name as yours. Interesting. This is the first time ever running across this so i thought i would just say hello to someone who may be a long lost cousin or something. @@CraveLife The buddy system, wether you dive, climb, hunt, fly or fish, blaze trail. I still carry engineers survey tape and sharply marker. In heavy weather I've become disoriented more than once.

Christen - When I make long exploration trips into the mountains and forest of my home state. I print out maps of my planned routes, showing things that I might stop to explore and an idea of when I will return. Since I live in a small town, I drop that packet off at our police station. When I get back, I stop and check in as well. Some people think it is kind of stupid to do that, but then I am nearly 70, I still like to hike and fish when I can.
