This is the most high-quality recording of a TV screen I've seen on here. It's watchable.

0:37 haha, the enthusiasm in his voice, when he says both drivers were injured.

I though he misspoke because of the way he said it or even that I heard it wrong and he said that they were not injured ,lol. I had to play it back.

This just shows how strong and safety oriented the corvettes are for their racers

We were there when that happened. Have gone every year for the TUDOR SERIES. Just a great series and an insane track.

16G... That's the maximum G a seat of commercial aircraft can handle.

HKS NISMO 16G isn't even high for an impact. There have been many drivers who have had accidents with 100+G's and drivers absorbed 50-70. There are practically no low G crashes in Formula 1 for example.

      1) Only 16G because of the wet grass mind you. If it happened in the dry, the Corvette would have come to a dead still at point of impact while in this case, the car "just" got bumped in another direction.
      2) The amount of G's are not of importance actually. It's the kind of G that matters.
G-forces when you accelerate are no big deal but imagine you experience the same amount of Gs when someone hits you in the face, then that has more serious consequences.

Humans car survive up to 45+ G's if they have proper safety equipment. (Rocket Sled: John Stapp)
