Just watched your two tutorials on flutter. Thanks ! Will post in local fb aviation group. For the record, I did once induce flutter in a high performance glider by simply trying a pronounced side slip (I had just declined the offer of my instructor to try aerobatics as we were at 15 000' and had to loose a lot of altitude) : VERY violent (and a bit scary) : Didn't wait for instructions to stop the side slip, allowing the flutter to dissipate. Just a couple of days ago, found completely loose rudder cables on an unbalanced GA rudder... Thanks !
I just discovered your tutorials on flutter! Thanks for an excellent and focused discussion . Most get in to Eigen values matrices and without the basics it just does not help. I was looking for the fundamentals and your descriptions help that. I would like to know how to make my RV7 rudder stiffer/stronger/lighter and increase my lifespan. Maybe the math will come later, keep up the good videos!
