I just bought the product recommended in this list for fun cus it’s my birthday and I got money as a gift. 😂 I decided to buy them with very low expectations. Turns out it was the best decision I made this year. Damn!!! I never know my hair can be this soft and I don’t have to wash my hair everyday anymore. Love it❤❤❤

Listening to the advice and showing us the visuals on your channel is the best way I keep my hair looking it’s best and I get compliments on my heavily highlighted platinum hair, on the days that I don’t treat my hair right and I apply too much product or let it air dry, then I put it in a messy bun and hide 😝 until I wash it and make sure I follow these tutorials yet again! That’s the only way I can get salon-type results is use what I’ve been taught, bc I literally have 26+ styling products that don’t work and just 3 that are recommended so I stick with those. I’m gonna throw them out…eventually 😆

I use the Redken products for the silky smooth finishes but I use the other stuff on days I just pull my hair up bc I just use a good conditioner and I haven’t found a deep condition treatment that I’m liking yet
My hair is naturally thin/sometimes brittle to me (but my stylist says it’s not) and I sometimes go 4 days between washes if I get it brushed/combed out enough and use dry shampoo but those are the days it up. The heat styling really is what makes my hair feel better, I was one of those ones that let my hair dry naturally thinking I could have healthier hair. Hi Chris! I just found you, and I'm so glad I did. I am loving your videos.
Could I make a request for a video for wavy and curly hair? What are the best products to use, how to achieve frizz free hair, how to dry it for the most volume? I would be so grateful. Sarah

Hair texture patterns definitely influence type as well because the diameter of the curl bends and the amount of repeating rotations determine how far down the strand the oil goes. In types 3 and 4 it doesn't get very far whether your hair is thin, medium, or thick. I have medium 3B hair and if I went 5 days without washing the oil still wouldn't get father than an inch from my scalp. I never even need to use dry shampoo to control the oil, though I opt for it as a texturizing styler. In a 1B or 2B type it would move farther down and faster. Meanwhile how much do we love these static Chris characters now in the videos with all the expressions and different wigs LOL

Heya, I’ve got two questions and I’m sure I’m not the only one with these problems - maybe you can help?
    1. Going to the gym everyday and sweating, which can make it difficult to go 3 days between washes - any advice?
    2. Mum of a baby and need to tie up my hair regularly (also for the gym) which can ruin the style I create after the wash (usually just a blow dry) - how can I tie up my hair without ruining the style?
    Thank you so much 😊

Chris finding your videos by accident is almost as good as having my stylist from Southern California back in my life. Ok your videos may be even better because of all the information you give on different products. But Mikal was a miracle throughout my working years because over 20 years I ran the gamut from blond streaks (foils) with short hair to long, permed very dark hair. It was nothing for me to arrive at Mikal’s place with hair below my shoulders and dark to announce: “We’re cutting it all of and going back to blonde. Mikal was the only stylist who didn’t spend 1/2 hour trying to talk me out of it. But he always took me blonde in stages so not to overly damage my hair. But like you he always told me how to use products and what not to do. We moved up to Oregon and I haven’t found anyone to replace him. The woman I have is just for cuts and she does well with that. But I’ve been floundering over the best products to use. So I’m starting to watch you and take notes.
I have medium hair, dark brown (colored) and past shoulder length. My hair has never been good at holding a curl when long. An hour after heat styling to add some waves, my hair just goes straight. Since I prefer that look it’s a good thing.
I think I’m going to get scolded by you because I fell for an add for shampoo and conditioner that comes in bars like soap. I’m going to buy some new products based on your opinion; I haven’t used this product long enough to see how it works. My only wish is that I’d like a fuller head of hair like when I was young. My hair felt like it was getting there when I took the Nutrafol vitamins but at $90 per month was just too expensive. At 70 you’d think I’d be beyond all this but no, hair and makeup are still part of my daily routine. Looking much younger than my age means that I pay attention so I’m definitely onboard with your counsel. I’ve been taking vitamins with ingredients that are supposed to help with hair growth, has Biotin as main ingredient. Don’t know if it’s a good idea or not.
Thanks for the tips so far.

Hi Chris! I only discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and already watched numerous videos and learned a lot. Thanks for all the good info, but I really wish I had discovered you last month, before I went and chemically straightens my hair. I naturally have (or had until last month) a high volume course, wavy hair. I had gorgeous shiny, healthy hair that was everyone’s envy until I was thirty, and then for whatever reason (probably dying my roots at home using drugstore products and also aging) my hair texture slowly changed. It became frizzy, ugly and unmanageable. Before that, after a blowdry, my hair would stay amazing until I washed it, but it came a point where even a salon blowdry, would only look good for 2 days. I couldn’t handle the frizz and untamable mass, so I had my hair straightened with Matrix Optismooth, a procedure that took 5 hrs and I probably lost 5 yrs of my life due to heaviness of the nasty chemicals I breathed through the process. Now for the first time, I have straight hair, but it’s not frizz free! It lost all its body and volume, and feels dead and dry to me, but that’s not the worse part. The worse part is that I experienced a massive hair loss. I know part of volume loss is due to straightening the waves, but I’ve been losing hair in the shower by the handful since I did this treatment. It’s unreal! If I knew your channel last month, I’d manage my hair differently, but now that ship has sailed. So, questions for you are:
What do you think about keratin straightening in general?
Do I need to care for my hair differently now?
Will I ever get my hair volume and body back when it grows out?
Should I just cut all the dry and dead length and start taking care of my roots the right way?
Thanks a lot for helping ❤

I’m so glad I found your channel 🎉 still on my journey about what I can do with my hair so I looked at several videos and I see that I was already a little bit in the good direction
    - I swapped my supermarket shampoos and conditioners for kerastase products
    - I discovered the concept of leave in conditioner
With these 2 changes, my hair improved already.
I have also bought an oil : the Moroccan oil in light version. I have fine hair so I see that you recommend other products. I will have a look at these and also when and how to use the leave in conditioner and the oil.
Thanks a lot for all your good advice !

I heat style my hair once a week and its always put together, shiny and healthy, not to mention that I have a full blonde color done, so you would imagine it’s more fragile and that I should lay off heat, right? I use leave-in, heat protectant and lay off extremely high temperatures and I have the most amazing hair! It’s very long and down to my bum. People have accused me of wearing extensions before, which is the biggest compliment, tbh 😂 You’re one of the most realistic haircare specialists on social media and I’m super grateful for these videos! Thanks for teaching people that they don’t need a complex hair care routine to have amazing hair! Just shampoo, condish, leave in and an optional heat protectant for absolutely luscious hair!

Hi Chris! Your product recommendation list and videos have really improved my hair! Thank you!
It was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, turns out my hair isn’t as coarse as I had thought it was and so I was using too much product at the start and it was causing my hair to feel icky after dried. But since then I’ve learnt to use less and it actually works! I actually need even less than what you showed in the video of the blowout cream! (I know!) and I have chest length hair with medium thickness. Maybe it’s because I have virgin Asian hair and that’s why??? But yeah, a tiny bit goes a long way for me!
I just need to learn how to blow dry my own hair now. Which I’m dreading because I’m terrible with coordination. Wish me luck!

Some tips that have helped me for self blow drying.
      - Don't look in the mirror to coordinate your hands and brush, do it by feel and use the mirror to confirm you got it right.
      - Stick with one hand for brushing and one hand for drying, instead of switching between.
      - Remember you can change the concentrator attachment to a different angle if you can't twist the hair dryer into position.
      - Use clips to section your hair, as this will give you a much better result.
      - When drying the rear and you can't see what you're doing, touch the concentrator attachment to the brush to get your bearings

Coordination can be learned by most people if they don't give up too early due to getting discouraged because their learning curve happens to be steep. You can most likely get there, just be patient both with yourself and the practice. Best of luck!
