I appreciate that as much as this is NOT Brad's bag, he still gives it a shot and gives his honest thoughts.

Context for Johnny's Revenge. It's the second part of a 3 part series of songs telling the story of Johnny who makes a deal with the devil and gets dragged to hell. The first part Johnny Ringo is his deal with the devil, the second part was Johnny's Revenge where he tries to ger revenge and the third is Johnny's Rebellion where he gathers an army in hell to overthrow the devil

Lots of genre cliches on this album, but honestly i don't care anymore. I don't listen to A Day to Remember every day now. So coming back to upbeat metalcore was decently fresh with this album. I would actually love to play some of the songs on here with rocksmith. Not reinventing any wheels, but solid. Also this was before i was mod uwu

So to me I’m very nostalgic over this album, and I find myself every now and then coming back to it. But i won’t deny it has aged. But I still find myself loving it. I like The Resistance way more tho. And objectively, I’d say Sudden Sky is probably their best, but based purely on nostalgia I’d rather listen to this and more so Resistance more.
