I had forgotten this song, then heard it again on my car radio just last night, the first time in nearly 50 years now. Such a beautiful nostalgic mind trip back to that so-much-better time so long ago, which I wish we could all return to somehow. Today, I still feeling like I’m living back then again, and I wish we could all make it so.

this guy is an incredible talent with a great knack for song interpretation combining a marvelous voice and superior production..his albums from the seventies are classic and he chose songs that would eventually be covered by others....I true shame he never got the accolades he deserved....
always singing other peoples songs,so lucky to get any fame at all really,,,i know i started a band in 75 age11 and never stoped but never got fame,,as i didant sing my own songs enough ...
I sure loved this version. And having light brown eyes, I first heard it when my boyfriend and I would meet behind the Stadium of our High School and kiss, and I was 14 years old. You always do such a good job on all your songs dear Ian Matthew. You are one of the great singers of our generation.

This was the first version of Brown Eyed Girl I heard. Love it. Memories of Sunday afternoon parties after the pubs shut with Go For Broke playing. Image broken though about 20 odd years ago when seeing Ian live in the County Hotel, Perth along with a crowd of about 20. Playing with another guitarist Ian kept asking for requests only for 95% of them to be met with 'we don't do that one any more'. Very disappointing all round.
An outstanding cover! I was impressed. They stayed true to the original and didn't innovate. The original cant be improved upon so innovation is not needed.

I thought MSC was an American band obviously with Woodstock but no, I've never heard of him but now buying his rare vinyls on Ebay, big fan aged 71!

I was always a huge Ian Matthews fan - I only saw him once live, though, when he played in London in the 80s.
