Dude big facts, they actually got me attached to Bryce and his charextor and how he was really trying to develop and figure out his entire life
At first I thought they ruined a major thing by announcing that in the trailer, but then near the beginning of the series I had a thought - if they revealed that in the trailer, that's probably the least shocking or surprising thing that would happen. By the end, my suspicion held true to the letter.
This season has made me feel bad for Bryce and I hate that I feel that way
I feel exactly the same. Have been trying to keep myself from doing that but i cant help it. Some moments yoy could really feel his pain. Also when Monty died, i always hated him but to see him with his father like that, how he got treated. He wasnt born that way, the circumstances made him the monster. Its just kinda sad isnt it.

I actually felt bad for Monty at the end of Season 3. I fully understand why he is the way he is. I'm not saying what he did to Tyler was acceptable because it sure as hell wasn't but I wish they didn't kill him off. I think he could have tried to redeem himself in Season 4. Ani annoyed me though this season it was like she always in someone's business. Tyler telling Clay what happened though broke my heart. It was so emotional.
I feel like Ari was a useless character she didn't really add much, as for blaming Monty I thought that was terrible as he has his reasons for being the way he is unlike Bryce
You idiots Ani represented clay love interest... she wasnt completely useless. Alot of people seen to be annoyed with her but I didn't find her that intrusive. I was however annoyed with the ending tho blaming all on Monty I think there should of been consequences for Alex and maybe Jessica it was just a bs ending.

All along I was thinking about poor Justin not being able to live with them anymore because Clay would be a convicted felon and his girlfriend and his and Clay's friend just keep quiet and nearly destroy the family he's making with the Jensens? If you think about it, at the end of season two you’re feeling the same emotions but for different people. You feel bad for Jessica because even after accepting that Bryce raped her(which was the hardest part), explaining it in open court and fighting so hard to make Bryce pay for what he did he gets away and her efforts are wasted. And you feel upset that Bryce got away.
Although I agree with you. I really felt bad for Bryce especially while they were playing the tape he made for Jess. He had truly made the effort to change and wasn’t given a chance to carry on with it because of his past self. I’m also upset that Jessica didn’t feel any remorse for what she did, she was just worried about herself getting caught. At the end of the season she says we deserve some happiness after all this, but if you remember, all these terrible chain of events only started after she and Alex did what they did.

1) Alex tried to kill himself, also murdered Bryce, and broke into someone's home.
2) Jess got raped and is now an accomplice to murder
3) Justin has been held at gunpoint on multiple occasions, been sexually violated multiple times, and is a known drug addict. He's also a thief!
4) Clay has threatened and pointed a gun at Bryce, and also at himself
5) Tyler was horribly sexually abused by Monty and tried to shoot up the school's spring dance
6) Tony's family was deported and he also has a criminal record
7) To add onto Monty, he sexually assaulted Tyler, committed destruction of property, and has assaulted multiple people(even his... boyfriend? lover? idk)
8) Bryce also has assaulted multiple people, raped an unknown amount of girls(a LOT), been into both drugs and alcohol, broke into someone's house + threatened a child, and probably countless more things
9) Zach nearly beat Bryce to death, breaking an arm and a leg at least.
10) Whoever that one guy was... forgot his name entirely bc frankly he was pretty lame, but he is also a known rapist I believe.(He was the student body president)
11) Sheri, for whatever reason isn't in this season, but she committed a minor crime because of drunk driving, which then led to Jeff's death.
12) Chloe, whom was raped by Bryce, had an abortion after getting pregnant from said rape, and also defended her rapist in court.
And then add onto the fact that everyone who was present at Monet's at the end of the season is now an accomplice of murder too! This includes: Clay, Justin, Jess, Zach, Tyler, Charlie, Tony(possibly his BF too), and Ani. Alex being the murderer they helped.
Really? The only actual clean ones are Courtney, Ryan, and Jeff. Except Jeff is dead so... Just those two. Yeah. Even then, Courtney is a bitch and Ryan doesn't care about anyone else but himself it seems.(Tony even mentions this himself)
MAYBE that one Baseball guy from season 2? I forgot his name though, he had a rather minor role though.
TLDR; yeah, everyone in this show is hella fucked up in some way, shape, or form for the most part.

The way Timothy talks about Monty in Season 4 makes me think (and hope) his character is still alive. Maybe they faked his death or sth. He was one of the few interesting characters left in 13RW... and he didn't deserve to die. He deserved to pay for his crimes, understand his mistakes and eventually become a better person.
Manuel Naretto it almost makes me wonder if someone bailed him out, possibly Bryce’s mother because I think she and the head cop guy knew it wasn’t him. Maybe he traded information to the cops to take the others down that they got him some kind of protection

Yea I know it wouldn't fit in with the narrative and all that but just something to think about. If y'all want to be real about it clay and marcus aren't exactly friends,ryan could try to mess up tonys love life,sheri is a little tricky maybe they can play it as her feeling left out or something & same with scott. Like I said just something to think about.
@@Hailsxphelps I'd love a plot twist like that! They made Season 2 & 3 revolve around the concepts of justice and redemption respectively. Putting Monty in jail was the proof that justice can actually win; now it's time to show that redemption can happen too.

I'm curious to see how Zach will be punished. Certainly he's not going to just get away with assault and battery charges. Not to mention, Tyler, Clay and Tony. Ani told Deputy Standall that Tyler was going to shoot up the school and Tony and Clay got rid of the guns which were later found by the guy on the boat. What's gonna happen there? Will they be charged? Lastly, I hope we see Justin's adoption be finalized. His character has been through so much, he deserves to be in a happy, loving family.

I don’t think zach will face any consequences because the police officer mentioned that his injuries could have been from falling into the water and the fight at the homecoming game, even if he admitted to it. I think anything Ani said to criminalize the rest of them will be overlooked considering there isn’t too much evidence other than her word

Yeah. I think that many people are so stuck on it just being the book/season 1. But as I didn't read the book I was far more open for it to be a multi season series.
And I love the psychology behind it. That something isn't done for just one reason. That someones behaviour isnt just installed for one reason and that every one hasn't just one side. But many of them.

I'm guessing because Sherri and Ryan's storylines are done? After all, they really didn't have much importance outside of Hannah's tapes and court case.

I personally loved how they filmed Bryces parts in season 3. They well and truly played with your empathy, but I loved how they'd instantly do something to remind you of his crimes and almost make you feel torn.
The actor is right though, Bryces story was definitely wrapped up in 3 but it'll be wierd without the two antagonists in season 4.

I loved the scene where Tyler told clay what happened and I really liked the scene where all the survivors stood up i think they were both so powerful and though I don’t agree with how the characters went about reacted to things I loved seeing how open or willing to communicate the characters were to each other
I truly don’t think Monty really died. Never thought I’d say this but I actually liked Monty by the end of the season. He had a back story this season to fully explain why he was the way he was. It broke my heart hearing how hard he had it. I feel like since there was no proof he’s dead, I feel like there’s a possibility he’s alive.

Let's have Ani move away and Winston transfer schools to be at Liberty High and have Monty be alive (and in some kind of program, like anger management, or some other program to help him). And maybe get him into a group home or something because of how his real 'home life' was like. And Winston finds out Monty is alive and in hiding. Bryce was trying to reform himself (I'd like to believe). I can't wait until the final season. I swear all of the great shows now-and-days have so few seasons. I hope Justin's 'mother' gets found and is sentenced to prison for literally destroying Justin's childhood and almost his life. That woman doesn't deserve to be called a 'mother'.

Justin Prentice and Timothy Granaderos are the polar opposites of their characters. That's exceptional acting, I hope they get Oscars someday!
Ani's character is being blamed unnecessarily. Sure she, at times, is annoyingly trying to involve herself where she doesn't belong. But we forget that Clay Jensen does much well when he has a support. In season 1 and 2, it's Hannah who guides him. In season 3, its Ani.
Also, it should not be forgotten that it is she who concocts the story of Monty being the killer, and hence saves Jess and Alex.

Aadish Aayush but they don’t deserve to be saved, I expected Ani to come forward with the truth but instead she’s just lies and covers up for Alex and Jessica being the reason of Bryce’s death when the whole season it seemed like she was defending bryce saying how he he’s different

The thing I find the most annoying about the Ani hate is that people can't seem to realize that this is exactly what they were going for with the character.
Also in my opinion kind of hard to say this character doesn't belong in certain situations when Clay has pretty filled her in on everything that has happened these past 2 seasons.
Now we have a murder on our hands involving a character in which Ani was friends with, occasionally had sex with, and to top it all off lived with this guy that being Bryce.
She also uncovers new secrets that other characters were hiding from each in other.
In a way she's almost like a defective which is sometimes annoying especially when it comes off as if she's asking these questions in favor of Bryce.
Aside from that though kinda an annoying character but she's definitely bearable and I liked her but easily to see why many don't.
I think Winston will Unravel everyone to avenge monty. Because he didn't know about tyler he juet knew he liked monty so the group will ne exposed i hope Winston tells us the story for the final season
I just finished the season and that's exactly what I had in mind. Although I wonder how many of them can actually get prosecuted for their connection to the framing and cover-up. So many hands were involved

Monty’s storyline wasn’t over and it’s bullshit they killed him offscreen. That’s just damn trash of the producers to get rid of that character when there was more to explore like wtf

Exactly. No one here is blameless. Everyone pretty much broke a law including Alex’s dad the cop - from murder, to assault, to accessory to murder after the fact, to attempted school shooting, lying to an officer IDK the list goes on and on. At this point we are at a bad place where “an eye for and eye” take the law into our own hands is ok - and it’s not ok.

I actually felt bad for Bryce and Monty at the end , and Tyler finally telling his story to people was so beautiful
13rw makes every character feel like a real person, usually in shows it's just bad guy does bad things and that's that so we should hate them but season 2 & 3 showed how human these people really are, bryce crying and truly apologizing, showing his family and how he became the way he is same with monty, tyler getting better and showing what pushed him to what happened at spring fling, justin had amazing character development, jessica being honest about her feelings for justin and not apologizing for being a "bad example" for rape victims because everyone heals differently, and the list goes on. I really appreciate how they give everyone a story that real people go through everyday.

Played this as a "white noise" while doing homework since I wasn't fully interested, but as the season came to a close I didn't realize how much information and character exposure I was missing. Guess I gotta start again from the beginning and actually pay attention. Challenge accepted.

And here is my theory.. i hope Winston has to do something to Monty but they just covering up that Monty is dead, i really want to see what kind of character Monty will be if he still alive and coming out that he is gay and have relationship with Winston would affect his world..

Yeah. I don’t think they deserved to die, but I do believe Bryce needed some serious help in a mental center or something because his final scene revealed that he still had violent, controlling tendencies. The fact that he tried to act like nothing happened was crazy like he needed something to control his anger

After I spoiled myself of who it is, you notice that that person isn't really there. You rarely see him there. Why? because he's guilty, and they don't want us to know he did it. but having him barely there kinda shows it was him

I am in LOVE with this show!!! I just got Netflix, and this was the first show I started watching. (Have been watching OITNB on DVD for a long time now lol.) I had always wanted to see this one. It is amazing, and the actors are great in their roles. This show has me all torn up. I am in my 30's and remember how bad it was in HS when I was a teen. I am sure it has only gotten way worse, which scares me for my own kids!! But I love these characters. I have been heartbroken for them thru it all. I wanted Hannah to be alive so that Hannah and Clay could have made it work, but then I just made it to where her and Zach had their whole thing, and they seemed so in love!? How awful is it all!? And poor Alex.. I just love his character.. and Tony too.. and Jeff.. why did he have to die!? I love them all. I shouldn't have watched this.. total spoiler!! But this is a great show, with a wonderful cast!!
i feel like zach had a part in his death aswell, if his leg wasn’t that severely injured he could’ve gotten up and left the area, or if Alex still had pushed him into the water, (if he knew how to swim) he could of just swam to shore?

I think we could of got a really amazing redemption and love story from monty with Charlie and Winston. Season 3 disappointed me so much. There was no Sheri or Scott reed which they could of made good characters it of zach was pretty useless. The only things I like was how far Jessica and Tyler had come and Jessica’s survivors speech, also Justin seems to be happier even though he was still struggling with addiction he has jess and clay. The rest of the season did disappoint though.

bryce’s death was a good scene. it really showed how it wouldnt take bryce much to turn back to his old ways and no matter how hard he tried to be a good, empathetic person, he carried sociopathic tendencies. i knew monty was gay from s2. at first i thought he might be in love with bryce, but i did know he was gay. i was pissed that alex and jessica got away with the murder and it was blamed on monty. they shouldn’t have killed him off. oh and i did not like ani’s character. a little too annoying.
That scene when Clay was running away but when Tyler needed him he came back for him made me cry soooo much. Bryce was trying to change which made me sad and I honestly don't think nobody should be murdered even for what they have done in my opinion.

Bryce and Monty were terrible people, but Bryce's willingness to change meant he didn't deserve to die. I think the story would have benefitted if he went to the authorities and turned himself in, admitting what he did to really show that he understands what he did was wrong.
Jessica didn’t do anything, it was pretty much all Alex. I hope that his dad finds out, because I think that would be a really interesting story line for all the characters.
