I have no clue what it is! The first time I ever loaded up a sample in a tracker it sounded different to me...like it was just coming straight out of the speaker with nothing in between. Pure
@@trevor_mounts_music I've gotta start getting into trackers again. I tried a few years ago, but I reverted back to my DAW for my new electronica album I've been working on. I checked out your other tracks and it's nearly impossible to find anyone, ANYONE, who makes good DnB anymore. Everytime I want to listen to some good DnB/Jungle or electronica in general, I have to go searching for obscure albums from the 90s / early 00s. I don't normally subscribe to too many channels, but you've earned my subscription! You've got the skills and talent; I've got a lot of respect for that. You make good music on this channel 🎵 👉🏼
Could just be the interface. Sometimes I’ll play music back within Logic and it sounds completely different if it’s presented as MIDI Vs audio. Hell, even looking away from the screen sometimes changes the sound for me.
@@YourPetSnake I think these old trackers do SOMETHING to the sample. I can put the same sound in logic or renoise and it's a little bit different coming out of milky. The way it's presented definitely gets different music out of me 100% though...
@@trevor_mounts_music There aren't many of us, but I've met a small handful of other Trevors irl. I'm also apparently not the only music producing Trevor Stewart in my local area; luckily enough he plays an analog instrument called a chapman stick, and I work in electronica
it's very nice that people are still creating something in trackers (although I've been doing projects in them since 2018, in 2022 I moved to FL Studio)
Tried messing around with milky and gave up because it confused me and I was too lazy to memorize any key commands. I’ve had limited success with renoise so for now I’m sticking to Ableton. Much respect though videos like this make me wanna pick tracker software back up!
It's one of those things that just took a weekend of playing around with it to figure out. I downloaded a bunch of songs in .XM and .MOD format and used that to try and understand what I was looking at 😂
You just do everything manually. You have full control of the sample and the volume/envelopes. No DSP/FX built in so you have to get your samples sounding right from the source, basically. Nothing more than leveling all the samples the best you can and panning things out to make it more "stereo". You can do some fun stuff with the FX commands though - re-trigger glitches, volume/pitch fades, "echos"....
I don’t know what it is, but music made on trackers have a totally different sound from music made on a DAW. Good stuff man 👌🏼

Clean beats, truly floating. Tracking is such fun, and tracker music is special!
Thank you so much! I agree - something about tracker music is just really pure 👽✌🏼
Soooooo good!! this is my favorite flavor of Jungle, great work!
Electronica Trevors unite (unless you're dyslexic; then it's untie)
Another Trevor? Never met one in the wild. 😂

Found Fasttracker 2 and then Renoise a year or two ago and never looked back…
Brilliant! That was hella vibey! Thanks for sharing!
Great tune.
Dope tune mate! Love it - good vibes✌
I appreciate that! Idk why but I always make better tunes in Milkytracker than anything else 🤷♂
I love a design of this fuckin program you know
I think that's part of why I like making music with it so much - it looks so nice!!!

start with protracker.
Brilliant, love this!
beautiful vibes
I really appreciate that. Everybody wants to make dark crazy stuff so I figured I'd make something pretty instead...
I just can't get to split the amen just right
It just takes trial and error and being off slightly might even add to the flavor
@@gasoline1707 Yes...just let the breaks do the work 🤷🏻♂
Nice.
Dope

Excellent
I appreciate that a LOT! Had a ton of fun making this. 👽
that is so dope! Keep doing them bro!!!!
Love it💕🎹🖥️👍😎
maan this is tight!
Thank you! Grateful that strangers on the internet managed to find my music honestly 😂
Those pads at 1:53 sound so nostalgic. What are they?
It’s a fender Rhodes chord sample played really low (I think). Maximum nostalgia!!
Pretty good
instant sub. NICELY done
Very very good 💜
🙏
hell yeah!!
🙏🏼
🔥🔥🔥Awesome
i have yes clue
This is dope!
Vibes!
i think in trackermusic you dont get so fast stuck in a loop. love it
That’s why I stuck with it - way easier for organize my thoughts and get out of the loop!!
can you share xm file? i like it so much
Will be posting this and other tracks to the Mod Archive shortly...
i've always wondered; how do you go about mixing tracks and applying effect using a tracker?

Yo I'm a Jungle DJ from London, I'd love to use your stuff in my mixes! Can I download your stuff anywhere?
I'm in the process of making a bandcamp so I can give some of this stuff a proper release - stay tuned. 👍
@@trevor_mounts_music LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
