I am going to try sock knitting in the new year. I am a little intimidated but am looking forward to it. I will probably start after getting new needles since most patterns call for size 0 or 1 and the smallest I have is 2, I am not experienced enough to try to adjust the gauge. I also prefer the idea of toe-up but most free patterns seem to be cuff-down so I might have to start with that.
Ok after watching the entire video I am inspired. I am going to make a worsted weight set for my bf and make a sock weight set for myself when I get the new needles.

ok so no guess because i haven't been following you long enough to have any idea, but after watching the video, I had a suggestion for you. you said you weren't sure if you were going to save your husband's boxes of socks for Christmas or his birthday, but you also said that he'd have two boxes, so why not spread out the handknit sock love and give him one box for his birthday and one for Christmas?
