  • Hisense android smart tv dead issue fix. The issue was in a rectifier and I replaced the short circuited schottky diode with a good one which removed from a LG power supply board. Unfortunately I was not able to record the troubleshooting steps. If you have any questions comments below.

    That's a Schottky Barrier rectifier. They are used to get a specific voltage. If you see two of it position side by side, one will supply 12v and the other 16v. It's common with LG PWR BOARDS

    I have Hisense 50 inch that I did a hard reset by pushing power button and connecting power cable.the red light blinks but keep turning on off no picture or sound.can it be the power supply or the main board??.if you buy a new main board will this fix the problem and is this a easy install?? Thank you for your help

    • @tech-corner2556
      @tech-corner2556  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jacqueline, Is this issue happened after you did the hard reset? If yes, this is most probably a software issue which happened during the reset. Then you can probably fix the issue by installing the tv firmware via USB port. Or if you change the main board it will work. Yes it is not difficult to change the main board if you have very basic technical skills.
      If not, This may be Main board, Power board, T-Con board or LED backlight issue. Without do a trobleshoot unable to make decision.

    Greetings, Thanks for the Vid. I have a HiSense 55" Roku TV It shut off the other day and would not turn back on. The standby light turns on when plugged in then dims and flashes once goes black for a couple seconds this sequence repeats continuously. I replaced the power board. Same issue. I measured the power from the USB port and the USB power seems to cycle with the light sequence. as if the TV is rebooting. Any ideas ?

    • @tech-corner2556
      @tech-corner2556  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First do a power cycle reset. Unplug the main power cable. Then press and hold the power switch in the tv(not in the remote) for around 20 seconds. Then connect the main power and turn on the tv. If it is not working try following steps.
      Then disconnect modules one by one and try to find the issue, For that see this video : th-cam.com/video/9v4Tt5y4XuI/w-d-xo.html
      Then you need to check backlight LEDs, for that see this video : th-cam.com/video/6CVT9-Lts4o/w-d-xo.html

    Hello, I have a 50 inch hisense tv with the power board almost the same as that (rsag7.820.5687). Do you know what the voltage is for the backlight? You have four cables I have two, but I have measured and it is only 1.45 volts. Something broke there, maybe some chips.

    • @tech-corner2556
      @tech-corner2556  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Voltages are marked on the board somewhere, try to find that. If there is damaged LEDs in the backlight the LED driver will detect that and stop the voltage output. Then you will not see the actual voltage. Therefore check the LEDs as well to confirm first.

    • @sonosito
      @sonosito ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for replying, but by now I've thrown away the TV, even if I bought the backlights there was no guarantee that they were of quality so they could break after a while. I realized that repairing the TV didn't guarantee it would last long because I wouldn't have used original spare parts anyway.

    • @tech-corner2556
      @tech-corner2556  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the screen quickly flickering and turn off, most probably the issue is in LED backlight. See this video to understand that how to find bad LEDs and replace to fix the issue : th-cam.com/video/6CVT9-Lts4o/w-d-xo.html
      Before that, just try to update firmware. Because this is may be due to firmware issue. If you have the serial number of the tv, just call Hisense help center and provide your serial number and your email address. then they will send the firmware download link with instructions to install the firmware. Good luck.

    • @ONAHANDSON
      @ONAHANDSON 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eastender4ever a whole lot of factors can be attributed to that. First, the IR SENSOR of the tv can go bad, secondly, the back light or the main board. I will advise you to disconnect the IR sensor from the main board then see if it will off. If it doesn't, replace the IR SENSOR( i.e it can be switch/sensor close to the right light). If you disconnect it and the tv still off, check if it respond to the remote after connecting it back to main board, if the tv doesn't respond to remote control, the fault is from the main board but if it respond, the fault is from the backlight
