Some background on one of my favorite songs ever! Jimin wrote this song originally as a dark song with "why can't I do this" in mind. However, when at their first Stadium concert at Citifield in New York, Jimin realized that he shouldn't put himself down like that. He made a promise to himself that he wouldn't insult himself. In this song, Jimin is telling us that these dark moments are not worth hurting ourselves over. He says "Let's make a promise. When we feel pain and alone, let's not throw ourselves away. Let's smile through this night so we can be our own light in the morning. So promise me, ok?" He wrote this song with the help of RM (for the English parts) and composed it as well! If there’s any song that shows Jimin’s style as a creator, it’s this one

This actually got me really emotional 😅, Jimin was the one who pulled me into this beautiful purple world.
I'm so thankful for his and the rest of the guy's lives. Each one of them have made a huge impact in my life, but Jimin holds a very special place in my heart, because when I didn't even know the meaning of his lyrics, his voice made me feel evey bit of his emotions, and I felt such a strong connection, it was exactly what I needed in that moment, I can't explain how it was possible, but it trancended any language barrier.
