There is no way I'd continue on the 3000 piece with all those issues... you really are a trooper for getting it done & giving it a passing mark!
It was still fun! And they’ve got the market cornered for giant Where’s Waldo puzzles, so it’s not like I can recommend a different one 😆

This puzzle looks so discouraging but it's so satisfying as it's put together!
It felt like I was getting nowhere until around 17 hours in, that part was rough

Wow - good job. I did a 500 piece "Where's Waldo" I found it fun but a lot of my friends said they would never tackle it. 3000 pieces is a monster.

Another wonderful presentation. Love the segments like Puzzle Math. Camera work is so good. The story of the puzzle and the technical details are enjoyable. I agree about how puzzles make one slow down and appreciate the details of the artwork. 👩🎨

Wow that was something 😂. I admire your patience! Also, Odlaw in French is "Pouah" which is kind of weird now that I think about it lol. When I was young, Pouah was my favorite for some reason 🤷🏼♀️😂
I did a 500 piece Star Trek puzzle from Aquarius and I had so many false fits and I could also see a lot of pixels. It sucks because they have so many cool images but the quality is not great.

Absolute madman for finishing this one. I would have stopped once I saw every piece was 2 in 2 out 😂 i recently finished the 2000 piece buffalo pokemon stained glass puzzle and my piece management consisted of just sifting through the box and grabbing certain colors. Would not reccommend. Thats a great term for it! Thanks for the video!
I’ve never been able to do the box sifting thing, but lots of people swear by it
I’ve noticed that Aquarius puzzles don’t come with posters. I’ve done 2 Aq puzzles, a little 100pc that just came with a 2x4” baseball card sized mini pic, the other just relied on the box image for a 1000pc Nickelodeon Characters Collage. I don’t plan on buying Aq puzzles again due to lack to poster, overly glossy texture, and 2x2 in/out single cut piece size bugging the hell out of me. There were a lot of repetitive colors, poor outlines, colors that didn’t quite match the box art but was still same placement. Aquarius puzzles to me are just inadequate and untrustworthy.

At about 8:00 you nailed all the issues I had when I worked this puzzle. I took photos of the box on my iPad and zoomed in. I only worked it to completion because I didn’t want it to beat me; I wanted the win!
That iPad trick is a good idea, I’ll have to remember that!

That single edge piece not properly fitting would have ruined this puzzle for me. Kudos on actually finishing it!
One of the weirdest things I’ve encountered
Same size pieces - put me in a straight jacket with a helmet and off I go to my rubber room. Good job finishing and maintaining your sanity.

Wow! I did the 3000 piece Aquarius "Peanuts" puzzle and I loved it. Varied piece cut and it came with a poster. No fit issues at all. Kudos for finishing this. I'm not sure I would have!
Nice to hear about the quality. I have considered that one many times but after the Waldo one I keep passing it up.
@@annesnyder3909 It was an impulse buy at TJ Maxx last December. I couldn't pass it up for $14.99! The nice thing about the Peanuts one is the background. Since it's all comic strips there are no big solid areas to deal with.

I found this very interesting. I have done this exact same Waldo puzzle. Mine came with a poster and the pieces were different shapes with no false fits. Not just two ins and two outs. The quality was good.

These kinds of busy images aren't my thing. This reminds me a lot of the puzzles made from the art pieces from Jan van Haasteren (a Dutch artist). I did a 500 piece one of those my grandma lend me and was like: never again.
Give me all the Josephine Wall art pieces with whimsical art and weird textures or a good set of rainbow gradients or even a starry night sky, but not this.
This was satisfying to see come together. What did you end up doing? Finish the gradient or get a new board?
i love doing the vintage seed catalogue puzzles, i just wish there were more. especially the floral ones. so pretty to look at that i glue them and turn them into posters to hang on my walls (im quite into florals and my walls are bright salmon so the flowers look very cute with the theme)
I bought a new board 😆 I did finish Drops of Color later, but I didn’t want it to slow me down with the 3000
Mental note - avoid Aquarius. I HATE identical piece cut puzzles XP
Great job on the 3000 pc Waldo. I bought that one and didn't get past the boarder. I emailed Aquarius asking about a printed poster. They sent me a picture via email in return so I could enlarge areas to see better. I definitely had trouble with that beige/yellow top edge. You have inspired me and someday I will pull it out again!

About that one edge piece not fitting, that piece was probably from the puzzle that was cut just before yours. That piece got unjammed, and the piece of your puzzle stayed in the cutting frame.

Im working on a 3000 aquarius puzzle also rn. Its nickelodeon characters, which is super busy but luckily each character is very distinct. But like this one, only 1 piece shape and the sorting is exhausting. I'm calling it my summer project lol

Well done for getting this jigsaw done, even if it was a slog at times. A shame that some of the pieces didn't fit properly. One way to get a larger image would be to either scan it or take a photo and then print it so that it comes out a bigger size than on the box. Can be helpful with a busy image like the Waldo ones. My jigsaw size limit is 1000 pieces as I just don't have the room to do anything bigger.

Wow! What a puzzle! For me, it’s a shame it was lacking in quality in the cut and a good poster for reference would have been nice. I appreciate when a puzzle company has good clarity in image for large piece counts.
I still enjoyed it, but when you’re putting in such a big time investment, you definitely wish the manufacturer had put in some effort as well

I am really enjoying your style and personality. I was so happy to see you hold the box of Buffalo Games “Bubbles of Color”. I just bought that a couple weeks ago and haven’t made it yet. Now I’m wondering why you haven’t finished it. I’m hoping I won’t be disappointed with my purchase. I know others have commented that you didn’t show us where Waldo was. I’m hoping you remembered to look!! Aargh!! 😅

I just let myself get distracted by other puzzles (mostly Waldos 😆) I have finished it now and I enjoyed it a lot. The water drops add an interesting element to the gradient. Tip: you can use the shadows and highlights on the drops to figure out which way is up! I was way too far into the puzzle by the time I realized that

I did find him (this one was easy) but I guess I had too many other thoughts about this puzzle, because I totally forgot to show him!
The quality of that 3000 pc puzzle is just wrong. Large piece puzzles are not cheap to begin with, then to have all those quality issues?!?! I give you lots of credit to not just continue that puzzle but to FINISH IT!!! Great job!!! Yes it's time for a break from Waldo!!!
This one is actually not all that expensive, which should have tipped me off as to what I was in for!

I did enjoy it, and I’m glad I finished it, but there were a lot of quality issues so you have to go into it knowing that the puzzle may not be perfect.

Aquarius puzzles have garbage quality control. Last one I did was 1k pieces and it still had ones that didn't align correctly.
So hit-and-miss, it’s crazy!
I would have nope-d out of this puzzle after seeing only 1 shape, and Im not one who relies too heavily on piece shape.
Also, Im not a fan of this puzzle brand.
