That's such a mom-move to buy the puzzle immediately after you mention it 🥰 The puzzle dust removal was genius and I cackled at the "lets send this back to Ravensburg" comment. And STILL there was more puzzle dust after the sorting! I'm amazed but not really surprised hahaha.
Hooray for moms! So grateful that she got you this puzzle so you could share it with us. I love how you labeled the Pokemon as you finished them. The design of the puzzle is really great and the puzzle colors are fabulous. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
Thanks for showing behind the scenes of Your puzzle studio. So much of what’s on TH-cam is unattainable aesthetic perfection and your studio looks like everyone’s favorite puzzle spot.
I have been looking forward to this video since you mentioned you were starting it for the puzzlealong. I am glad you are doing it at an enjoyable pace rather than pushing through. There is nothing quite like a massive bag of 5000 Ravensburger pieces. And love the Pikachu yellow cloth - great touch!!
I went to a talk with Ravensburger at a recent Con and yes those things you're noticing are intentional. The ravensburger teams take up to a year planning, designing, and approving a puzzle like this. Especially because it's licensed images and such iconic characters, I'm sure someone (or many someones) put a lot of love into making this puzzle as perfect as possible. It looks like it's super satisfying to assemble too.
I've always thought that Ravensburger puzzles, especially from the last 5 years, have been so well and intentionally designed. Especially for high piece counts, that really makes a difference! Great video, and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress in the next one.
It's so sweet your mom gave you this as a gift 🥰 my mom thinks I have too many puzzles lol I also like Pokémon and this puzzle is very nice, but I don't understand why Ravensburger decided to squeeze the 151 characters of first generation in its 1000 piece puzzle and don't include all them in the 5000 piece version, despite having so much more room for it. I have the 1000 piece (I wish I had a table big enough for puzzles like yours!) and yes it's a gorgeous puzzle but some of the characters are so tiny, fitting in just one piece. Anyway, thanks for the video Dan, it was entertaining as always. I'm looking forward to the second part.
Love this puzzle, Great colors..... love your excitement.... Yea !!! to Mom!!! what a great way to end my day...logged in to You tube for a relaxing video and here you are!!!! do you find the yellow background distracting? You were so cute sifting the puzzle dust out... thought a loaf of bread would pop out lol lol I use that method also..... I was so jealous when I saw the poster.... Why cant Ravenburger add a poster for all their puzzles??? I have not done a puzzle this large , you picked a perfect one for your first 5000 piece....Happy Puzzling!! see you in the next one!!!!
Great idea for your puzzle table. Space is always an issue for those large piece puzzles and I may have to try your set up. I've recently completed a 4000 piece puzzle from Trefl. It was my highest piece count so far but after watching this video I think I may have to try a 5000 piece next. Looking foward to seeing the finished result. Have fun with it.
A week ago I finished a 1500 piece pokemon puzzle (also by Ravensburger). I had so much fun with it I decided to get this puzzle! I'm so excited to start it!
Oh wow. I'm not a Pokemon fan but this puzzle looks like a delight to do, thinking about adding it to my list if I ever try a big puzzle. And it looks so well designed! A lot of the larger puzzles put me off because of huge boring sections but this looks like a delight throughout the entire thing. The gradient and the background icons are such a nice inclusion.
Did you think to weigh the bag of puzzle pieces before you opened it? I'd be interested to know how heavy that many puzzle pieces is. It's always a delight to find a new video from you; keep 'em coming!
im not really a fan of Pokeman or anything related to it but that is an incredible puzzle. Its amazing people can do these huge number of pieces. I'm a 500 piece man myself hahhha. Even that size takes me a week to finish. Ill never be a speed puzzler.
That was so nice of your Mom and you look so happy. I was so glad you shook out the puzzle dust. Keep up the good work. You should check out the channel "For the love of puzzles" where Donna Louise does a 6,000 piece Clementoni Downtown puzzle. It really was beautiful.
Arrghh, all that sorting! With a puzzle that size though it's a necessity otherwise looking for the pieces you want would be pretty time consuming. ⏲ Very good of your mum to buy it for you, as a jigsaw that size is fairly pricey.💲A jigsaw to be done slowly over a period of time so that you can enjoy the build process. Look forward to the second instalment.
Would love to do this puzzle! Unfortunately I don't have the space, so had to settle for the 1000 piece ravensburger challenge one with all 151 original Pokémon (which is still a fantastic puzzle) 🧩
I love the channel! I love you whole vibe and feel of your channel. Your production quality is right up there with KarenPuzzles. Love you boo!

My puzzle-loving kid is 3 today and I hope I'll still be supporting her hobby for many years to come just like your mom. ❤
My husband just bought me this puzzle for my birthday 😊 can't wait to start building it

Omg. The broom on the puzzle table! I have been there ... still love Ravensburger.

Yes I have been waiting for another video. I am watching this as I type. So sweet of your mom to get you this puzzle. 🥰
Very cool! I feel like large puzzles this size are so intimidating!
What a great idea for the dust!
When does part 2 come out?
Is there a part two? I cant find it.
This puzzle looks so fun!!!
Such a cool puzzle. Really nice video!
I couldn't care less about Pokemon... but now I want to do this puzzle so much! I have no space, though 😥
I never thought I could do a puzzle over 3,000 pieces or so. But this is piquing my interest.

What an incredible puzzle! I love it!!
I love how you labeled the Pokemon as you finished them with their name AND dex number

It is so weird loading up TH-cam and seeing a video posted 58 seconds ago. SECONDS? I don’t think I’ve ever been this early to any video ever. 😂
I wish it had all 151. It looks nice regardless.
You are great in connecting puzzle pieces, 😶🌫🤔😥😳🥺🙂🤗👍

500 is definitely my favorite size - that’s where I have the most fun

I don't like sorting either, I guessed right, that you would start with the green.

"oh this piece is broken" bro you hit the puzzle bevore xD
still waiting for part 2 😭😭
👍🏻👍🏻🧩
I really want that puzzle but I don’t have a big table 😢 And my dog will eat pieces if I use floor.
