Hi, John. I'd like to see a real world scenario where you ship an ATEM and a camera to a non-technical person (like a guest presenter), and then have you walk them through the set up so you can include them in your show, using Zoom, etc. for communication.
the Streamin Bridge is a nice device for using more ATEM Mini Pro OUTPUTS. with the Streaming Bridge connectet to your ATEM within the same Ethernet-Network, you have the PGM-View (lightly delayed) on SDI or HDMI, while using the HDMI-OUT of the ATEM Mini Pro for MultiView.
Looks great, I would use a whatsapp call with in ears for two way communication, cueing on / off air ect, this makes me want to upgrade to a ATEM mini pro.
Thanks for the video John. Just ordered two ASB devices and another ATEM Mini - an ISO to go with my Pro. Will be trying out doing a live stream church service from two locations through the internet. Interested to see how this might work.
Ok my question is I have atem mini pro connected to a Imac, but I want to screen my output from OBS or the media player on the atem? I have 1 ptz cam in input 1, laptop in input 2, 3&4 don’t have anything connected. The hdmi out is connect to a external pc monitor to multiview, webcam is connected to the iMac, and the Ethernet. I have another external monitor to the iMac as an extended display. I have an atem streaming bridge to program out the source end of the hdmi to streaming bridge and the other end of the hdmi which is display end connect to 1x8 splitter which is plugged in the input slot and the 4 TVs plugged in the output part of the splitter. So I’m on my iMac working OBS so I’m try to output what have develop on the program side of OBS, I right click to full screen projected it on extended screen not show up on the TVs. Please tell me what I did wrong or how can I get the OBS input on the TVs at my church?? 😩😩😩😩
Hello the Atem Mini Pro has only one HDMI out, which is either Preview or Program...Can I use streaming bridge to change the RJ45 output from Atem Mini Pro to get a HDMI program output for my church TV Screens? Will there be alot of delay?
This can work, yes, however the delay is likely up to 1 second (possible less though). For some uses it might not be too noticeable but it is a lot for live video production.
Good day! Please tell me, with the help of this device, can I broadcast a video stream to the Internet and at the same time show it on a large screen via HDMI output. And through the Tape-c output on the Аtem mini pro iso itself, we write to the SSD disk.
Q1: Could you use this as a streaming target for a DJI Pocket 2? That way one could create an HDMI signal from the Pocket 2. Q2: Is this product discontinued? Why can't I see it on the BMD website??? Thanks John.
Hi John. I wonder if there is any way to decrease the delay output from ATEM Streaming Bridge's HDMI / SDI output. I didn't use it as Livestream device, just want to have a nice Program out from ATEM Mini Pro. Direct connect AMP > Ethernet > ASB > HDMI out to LED Screen. The delay pretty noticeable when i'm doing a livefeed to venue's Screen/Projector.
Unfortunately if you are not happy with the delay then there is not much that can be done. This direct connection you have in place is the fastest way that I am familiar with.
Hi John, we want to send our video from ATEM mini pro to Facebook live but also view what we send in another part of the building (small delay not a problem). Would this ATEM streaming bridge work for that and how would we set it up. We also use the USB out to record to flash drive.
This will not quite work. The ATEM Mini can only stream to one destination at a time so you will need to choose either Facebook OR the Streaming Bridge.
I'd like to see this in an academy schools setup - with one school broadcasting out to the feed to other schools in the academy chain. Would that be a good use?
@@heretorecord Thought as much - I know one of the few Primry Schools in this country that has a broadcast studio (with talkback for camera operators) who would definitely benefit from this.
Hi, please I need help, for the ATEM mini which dose not have multi view don't we have any sort wear that have a multi view that the ATEM mini can be connect through to see as multiple view
Thanks for this video. I have an ATEM MINI ISO. I want to do a multicam livestream while recording ISO files to a drive from the USB out, and taking a multi view out from the HDMI out. If I connect a streaming bridge via the Ethernet port in order to convert that signal all to an HDMI for program out, does that mean I lose being able to control the ATEM and my BMD Pocket Cinema 6K cameras as well as the wired, ethernet internet connection?
For this to work you will want to connect the ATEM and the Streaming Bridge to the same network switch. This way you can stream to the Streaming Bridge while still being able to connect a computer to that same switch and control the ATEM.
I think something like the Pearl Nano from Epiphan is the main one that comes to mind (video on that soon) though it is certainly in a different cost range
Are there complicated network requirements? Seems like it’s using blackmagic as a proxy and you can leave it behind a NAT without port forwarding or direct WAN access
You may have to open port 1935 on your router, so while that is not complicated, it will mean that the device will not simply always work. And the tests seen in this video were all done on a switch (which wasn't connected to the internet) so no port forwarding was needed.
Great video, John. If you are using this to send live video from the field to the studio and internet dips for whatever reason, I’m assuming the quality of the video might also drop or does it have a way of delaying the feed to ensure you get the right quality?
@@heretorecord Ah. I figured that since the USB-C Output can natively be used as a webcam, it would be a simple process to convert it to HDMI. Maybe it's not as straightforward as I thought.

Yes, I was capturing this within the same network. It was only later that I set up port forwarding. I felt it was worth it's own video (which I have not made yet)
Do you think it would be possible to have a link between to locations with a pair of atem mini pro's an streaming bridges? It will not be a conversation. More like one person speaking for half an hour and then one from the other location.
quick question...can the streambridge send and receive program output over ethernet? So can i use this to free up hdmi output to get multi-view on pro or iso
Certainly you can do that. The program feed will be slightly delayed but if you are using it to record a programme feed then that will work just fine for you.
Not quite. There are a few videos out there on that topic. It would work for a recording though I would not want to watch that on a local monitor due to the delay

I use this for additional Recording and Monitoring the PGM. I also use it for seiding the PGM to separat rooms for Beamer.
How many Bridges can you send signal at a time. Can you also Stream to TH-cam at the same time?
You can only send a signal to one bridge at a time from an ATEM Mini Pro. And you cannot multi-stream from the Mini Pro.
how do you handle the delay from ASB as PGM output sir?

Should work nicely, with a little delays but that is fine when you know about it
Great explanations but you can add that the Streaming Bridge also works with BM Web Presenter HD just like as works with the ATEM mini.
Ok, just saw your video on Web presenter where you talk about that :)
Yea! Was just about to comment about that’

The fact that you also need an ATEM Mini Pro to use this thing kills it.
Hi John, what ethernet cable did you use for this show? It looks very durable.
Hi John, Do both parties need to have an Atem Mini Pro or ISO? Would I be able to use an Atem Mini and Atem Mini Pro?
I was thinking of this as a remote monitor or camera.
would it work in same room. 'stream' from pro to bridge then use the output to go into an OBS computer.
It would work but the delay would be a second or two
Great video! I wish they had the ATEM Streaming Bridge USB-C to connect to computer as a webcam in addition to the utility support function
That would be nice!

Only the ATEM Mini Pro or ISO for now - Here's hoping they open it up at some point!
