Lol Zavok's one to talk about needless cruelty; he abuses his minions, was gonna turn Tails into a robot, almost destroyed the world TWICE, and was willing to slash Cream to ribbons! Still, he did give Starline a really bad-a "reason you suck speech"; and it seems that Dr. Starline has grown more competent as a villain because of it. Overall, a good mini-series. 👍

I wouldn't be surprised if we got that "galvatrons revenge on starscream" type vibe...where Eggman ends up finishing Starline by blasting him into dust...
Man... Out of every bad guy here, who's shown loads of surprises at every turn throughout the Bad Guys story arc, Mimic has caught me off guard the most. Starline being the second most. XD
I have to compliment starline on achiving his goal and succeding in something any villain in the franchise has never achived: Create a global empire that is capable of withstanding the might of the eggman empire.
I wasn't expecting this to end like this... Each bad guy went on his own path. Starline is planning to conquer the world; Eggman wants to find out who planned everything and deal with them; Zavok wants to regroup with the other Zetti, before taking revenge on Starline; Mimic wants to take revenge on Whisper (and by extension Tangle); And Rough & Tumble are... Just being themselves.
Let's hope Starline, Mimic, Rough and Tumble don't cross paths with each for they will definitely be at war with each other. Also, while Starline wants to be world conqueror, he must avoid Eggman at all cost for if Eggman finds out that Starline plotted all of it and Mimic, Rough and Tumble were in it as well, all hell will seriously break loose. Zavok on the other hand will definitely be one to worry about much later when he finds his pack. His revenge will not just be at Starline only, but Sonic and friends, Eggman, Mimic, Rough and Tumble. So yes, Zavok's revenge will be a very serious threat to all; no one will be excused from it.

Ngl this is the only one that has actually made me LIKE rough and tumble. When tumble was injured rough (or the other way around I don’t remember theirs names lmao) rough came for him as a sign of bondage and I just. Nice just nice this is great writing. And Zavok is getting a lot of backstory and it was overall very interesting to see how he was thinking near the end. He was simply trying to survive. He is just a Zeti and even he has his limits and I really like that. In a world of fantasy and games there is a good amount of realism and I just.... Y E S Thanks to the people that wrote this I rlly appreciate them.😭😭☺️
I literally said the same thing after reading this arc. I didn't care much for Rough and Tumble but damn that bro love got me. Proof you can still be a bad guy but still care about certain people. Zavok going down fighting with the base was neat, but felt kind of bad for him. He really didn't seem to grow like Starline did.

5:37: This gave me a idea for a mini series, I call it Zavok’s Journey. The first issue sets the scene, during which he saves a kind lady from a egg pawn by taking control of it, who then rewards him with a basket of apples she was carrying, making Zavok question his philosophy. I have no idea for the second issue, but in the third, he encounters Eggman again, who is in that mech from Unleashed’s intro and fighting with Sonic. He decides to get in on the fight cause he still had a lot of rage at Eggman. He gets in on the fight right when Eggman had the upper hand against Sonic. Eggman fires all the back missies he has at Zavok, who tries his best to dodge, but gets knocked down and stepped on by Eggman. As his last hope, he calls to Sonic to help him. Sonic briefly considers abandoning him, as both Eggman and Sonic hate him, but hero gotta hero, and Sonic knocks the foot off of Zavok, but promptly gets kicked into a wall. Zavok also considers abandoning Sonic, but realizes he’s not fast enough to escape before Eggman finishes Sonic, so he takes control of the mech, and makes it fire all missiles at itself. Eggman flees the mech before it shoots itself, but Zavok throws Sonic onto his Eggmobile. This doesn’t stop Eggman from escaping, as he just spins to knock Sonic off. This further makes Zavok question himself, but decides these are questions for Master Zik. At the end of the fourth issue, Zavok reunites with the other Zeti
Really good. I'm not so sure about the other Zeti I guess they'll be confronting Zavok for letting down from the entire operation on the previous plan with the Zombots. I guess they won't stand for him that long except for Zik since he follows his guidance but we'll see what happens.

I hope someone indeed challenges the "status quo" (erm... mandates as well) with Dr Starline challenging Eggman for all the old plans he scrapped/re-used instead of improving upon them. And perhaps a new character that challenges Sonic about all the times he let Eggman go free and how Sonic wanting to be "free to do whatever he wants" is a contradiction when the world is utterly helpless without him (tho again that's thanks to the mandates too lol!).
You bring up a good point; everyone is way too reliant on Sonic. So much so that they forget their own strength. As bad as Sonic Forces was it highlights this fact the best; everyone other than Shadow and Original The Character gave up when it looked like Sonic got a Game Over, right at the start. How can the world ever be free when it relies so heavily on two people who never finish each other off?
I really hope we get to see rough and tumble again in the next arc of the main series, Better yet I hope we get to see them in their own mini series. C’MON IDW

Everyone got what they wanted, Mimic to be free from Eggman, Starline his new empire, Rough and Thumble to cause trouble, I think... and Zavok to go look for his siblings. This series was great.
Agreed. One of my guesses did turn out half correct. Where it was the tricore would work against them and they would be defeated but not dead while Starline makes his escape. As you see, Rough and Tumble were out of juice but escaped and Zavok's tricore worked against him and he was defeated, but not dead
What a happy ending but a much darker ending the blow is off. Except for Zavok who ain't lucky plotting his revenge that easily. He won't find his comrades anytime soon.
Eh, Mimic got exactly what he wanted, minus everyone else dying. Starline got exactly what he wanted and more; he's now abandoned trying to prove himself right to Eggman, which is honestly for the better, as he is now intending to be a stand alone villain. Rough and Tumble's weapons pretty much are useless now, unless they somehow get more cores to power them, but they did have fun and are no longer in jail; let's see how long that lasts. Zavok actually got the short end of the stick. Although he's out of jail now, he's back to square one. He lost all of his resources, except that one Egg Knight; he's heavily injured; and he still has no idea where the other Zeti are. That also is probably for the best; as long as he's in a state of weakness, he can't wreak havok like he would.

Many overestimate Starline, Tricore is a good idea but only for characters who don't have special skills, and if I may say so, I think Starline is below the others, he thinks he can do anything but Sonic and the rest of the staff are stronger and more experienced, if Starline is a beating on them it will be thanks to the script, hey Sonic has already endured heavy attacks and does he think a punch with slightly improved strength will knock him down? it doesn't even come close to the speed of Sonic

@@luizmiguel5484 At least he's having character development; that's what makes him interesting. We get to see him writhe in defeat, learn from his mistakes, and grow as a villain. Sure, he's still in over his head; but he still has come a decent way since his debut. He's no longer a fledgling villain, but he's still a long way away from being a master villain. He's currently a "novice" villain, I'd say.
Well Starline isn't willing to dick around or revel in his sadism like Eggman does. Waaay back in the Starline's first confrontation with Sonic he nearly killed him if it wasn't for Silver and that is back when he was still a fanboy. Also Starline is capable of doing what Eggman is too proud to do which is self-reflect. He is more than willing to say "This is what I did wrong" and improve on it. In the current main arc he is aware enough to neutralize both Rouge and Tails first rather than go straight for Sonic which is a confrontation he would likely lose. Even when Sonic catches up to him he triggers the avalanche so to force his hand to get him to save the chateau while he makes off with Tails and Rouge. And I for one would like to have another major villain faction going on rather than Eggman all the time. Adds some sugar to the oatmeal.

He's a younger villain looking to make his mark on the world, contrasting an old fogey who likes to bully a bunch of super powered animal kids who are about half his size or less!
I have to say... I LOVE STARLINE!!! By far he's the only villain that soon will have a global empire capable of rivalring the eggman empire and the restoration. Now the next step for starline is to get some mobian enforcers to carry his empire across the world, i suggest him to recruit the egg bosses.
I like that idea of Starline having actual people as enforcers, I mean it's kinda hinted at between him and Zavok's conversations. It would be a good way to difference himself from Eggman and can bring back the egg bosses concept.
Here's the status of every bad guy in this story (by Henry Stickmin Fleeing the Complex endings). Starline: The Betrayed. Mimic: Ghost Inmate. Zavok: Presumed Dead. Rough and Tumble: Convict Allies.

I'm so glad Starline is finally leaving the nest to become an independent villain. Maybe now he can fully focus on his dream to take over the world. He has a lot to learn, but I know he can be a better villain and do things his own way. He has FINALLY gotten over Eggman... in more ways than one. (See 6:50)
Alright starline is my favorite bad guy now because his the best out of every bad guy in the comic his strong fast and smart and willing to learn unlike eggman or metal or zavok

Don't get me wrong there was some good character development moments with him. I particularly like the parts where Zavok was encouraging Starline to see the potential he's capable of. I was more indifferent to Zavok ( after all not his fault Lost World sucked) but I hope IDW does more with him.

Thus ends the alliance of the villains who didn't trust each other. Mimic on his search to kill both Tangle and Whisper, Starline to continue his plan as the hooded figure in the main series, Rough and Tumble to do their thing and Zavok, who is looking for the Deadly Six and carry out his plans.
That was already apparent ever since he stood there like an idiot while Eggman flew away in his Eggmobile, after he had unleashed the METAL UNDEATH! From this, I'd be more worried about Tangle and Whisper, considering a certain murderous, scum-sucking octopus is now in pursuit of them. Not only does he want Whisper dead, and Tangle more than likely as well; but I think Tangle and Whisper's friendship is about to have its first bump, since it was Tangle who convinced Whisper not to kill Mimic and instead bring him to jail. Now he's out of jail and out for revenge, I wonder what Whisper will have to say to Tangle after they run into Mimic again.

Zavok actually got the short end of the stick. Although he's out of jail now, he's back to square one. He lost all of his resources, except that one Egg Knight; he's heavily injured; and he still has no idea where the other Zeti are. That also is probably for the best; as long as he's in a state of weakness, he can't wreak havok like he would.

He would rather die like a warrior than be left alive in humiliating defeat. As such, he intends to slay all of those who have disgraced him or die trying, not that either will come to pass.

Many overestimate Starline, Tricore is a good idea but only for characters who don't have special skills, and if I may say so, I think Starline is below the others, he thinks he can do anything but Sonic and the rest of the staff are stronger and more experienced, if Starline is a beating on them it will be thanks to the script, hey Sonic has already endured heavy attacks and does he think a punch with slightly improved strength will knock him down? it doesn't even come close to the speed of Sonic
I'm fine with that since I like Starline but was thinking they were over powering him a bit.

@@luizmiguel5484 At least he's having character development; that's what makes him interesting. We get to see him writhe in defeat, learn from his mistakes, and grow as a villain. Sure, he's still in over his head; but he still has come a decent way since his debut. He's no longer a fledgling villain, but he's still a long way away from being a master villain. He's currently a "novice" villain, I'd say.
Well Starline isn't willing to dick around or revel in his sadism like Eggman does. Waaay back in the Starline's first confrontation with Sonic he nearly killed him if it wasn't for Silver and that is back when he was still a fanboy. Also Starline is capable of doing what Eggman is too proud to do which is self-reflect. He is more than willing to say "This is what I did wrong" and improve on it. In the current main arc he is aware enough to neutralize both Rouge and Tails first rather than go straight for Sonic which is a confrontation he would likely lose. Even when Sonic catches up to him he triggers the avalanche so to force his hand to get him to save the chateau while he makes off with Tails and Rouge. And I for one would like to have another major villain faction going on rather than Eggman all the time. Adds some sugar to the oatmeal.

He's a younger villain looking to make his mark on the world, contrasting an old fogey who likes to bully a bunch of super powered animal kids who are about half his size or less!
I have to say... I LOVE STARLINE!!!
By far he's the only villain that soon will have a global empire capable of rivalring the eggman empire and the restoration. Now the next step for starline is to get some mobian enforcers to carry his empire across the world, i suggest him to recruit the egg bosses.
But he still doesn't trust non-robots. Even though he realizes the benefits he is not willing to take the risk.
I like that idea of Starline having actual people as enforcers, I mean it's kinda hinted at between him and Zavok's conversations. It would be a good way to difference himself from Eggman and can bring back the egg bosses concept.

@@videogollumer That's exactly why I was bothered about Zavok. He really is "just another Eggman." Zavok has too much of a linear mindset. Don't get me wrong there was some good character development moments with him. I particularly like the parts where Zavok was encouraging Starline to see the potential he's capable of. I was more indifferent to Zavok ( after all not his fault Lost World sucked) but I hope IDW does more with him.

Uh oh. Sonic is gonna have his hands full soon.
That was already apparent ever since he stood there like an idiot while Eggman flew away in his Eggmobile, after he had unleashed the METAL UNDEATH! From this, I'd be more worried about Tangle and Whisper, considering a certain murderous, scum-sucking octopus is now in pursuit of them. Not only does he want Whisper dead, and Tangle more than likely as well; but I think Tangle and Whisper's friendship is about to have its first bump, since it was Tangle who convinced Whisper not to kill Mimic and instead bring him to jail. Now he's out of jail and out for revenge, I wonder what Whisper will have to say to Tangle after they run into Mimic again.
