Notably, Northern Italy is home to the "La Mala del Brenta" mafia organization, which has historically exhibited a higher level of violence compared to its Southern Italian counterparts. You maybe dont know this cut that the movies have not been filmed and romanticized like the Cosa Nostra.

A mafia game with no machine guns and cars is an unusual but interesting choice. When I heard rumors M4 was going to be a prequel of M1, i would’ve guessed America late 1910s would be as far back as this franchise would go. i’m very interested to see how this whole thing works out.

For me the MAFIA franchise is simply perfect, for many MAFIA 3 is bad, but I really like it despite still having problems with the trophies to this day!

That's gonna be interesting. Early af Mafia days. I thought that dated back to the early 1900s or whenever Italians came to the US through Ellis Island.
The Sicilian mob dates back way further than that. In fact, technically, what we know as the Mafia here in North America is a totally different organization called La Cosa Nostra, and isn't really associated with the true Mafia.

@@MiguelGonzalezP I mean if they want to keep going with mob influence up through the ages, they did prohibition era Chicago, well lost haven, they did 50s new york, well, empire city, they did 1960s New Orleans, well new bordeux, next logical steps would be 70s in a Las Vegas analogue, and then 80s in a Miami analogue, though then you start stepping on GTAs toes. They could also do 80s Cicely, instead of Miami as I think historically there was a massive mob war at that time.
Vegas is the one thing that’s been neglected from both Mafia and GTA. Oh what I would give for that, GTA physics and Mafia writing=perfection

This is one of the three scenarios I would like to see for future Mafia. The others are based on the movie Casino in a Las Vegas town in the 70s or 80s and in reference to Goodfellas and Sopranos in New Jersey in the late 90s to 2000s with the end of the great power of the Mafia in america.
Vegas in the 70s-80s is what everyone has wanted to see for a while. Disappointed that's not what this is. It was peak mafia era. Plus the music would be great. And there could be a empire building mechanic like in Vice City Stories or Godfather 2.

@@ElfenSama But this prequel is based completely based on the italian mafia set in sicily, italy . Reportedly featuring salieri before the events of mafia 1 when he lived in italy. My wish would be mafia 4 set in las vegas during the casino wars just like robert de niro’s casino movie. The las vegas city would be fun to explore.
Mafia games always have a lot of glitches. I hope they learn to do a better job and make sure this game is well tested before release.
