This was the strongest squad the world had ever seen, I don't think we will see one close to this level in the next decade. Even France and SA aren't on this level in 2022, they are great but this was a squad of legends.

It's crazy to think how consistent the ABs were from 2010 right up to now.. Also they held the number 1 ranking spot from 2009 and since then they've won multiple Rugby Championships titles 2 back to back World Cups and still having a stronghold on the Bledisloe for over a decade.. As a fan I'm privileged to witness this wonderful team having so much success and still remained grounded.. What a team

The other and main reason is that because their Southern Hemisphere competition (Australia, South Africa, Argentina) aren't ranked so highly anymore, meant their performances didn't count for as much. Whereas England, Wales, Ireland etc are all ranked 2, 3 etc, winning in their circle means much more. This is why when NZ spanked Australia 36-0 and Wales barely beat England, NZ still lost the #1 position.

The quarter final against France was the most dominating performance I have ever seen by the AB's and for that reason it's my top 5 games I've ever seen them play
I remember been able to watch this team from 09-13/14, & recall watching tests when they would be down by numerous points with the clock winding down. What I noticed was the calmness, & clarity. No one notices the clock, it's all focused in the moment. This in turn means every player makes better decisions, than the options we can see from the grandstands. Eerily crazy..!!
I remember the last game of the season against Ireland having defeated everyone they played throughout the season and England the week before. This game was considered a mere formality but no one told the Irish who almost were on the verge of defeating the All Blacks with a lead of 22-17 and less than a minute on the cloak the All Blacks pulled out a last ditch try and time up to tie the score 22-22 all, Cruden had the kick to win the game and as he steadied himself for the shot at goal. The Irish went to charged the kick but Cruden hasn't moved towards the ball, and when he kicked the ball he missed. Ya couldn't had scripted a more intense ending. The kick was retaken and Cruden slotted the ball over the goal post to end the most absorbing final game of the season ever. Ireland would find that elusive win and defeat the All Black at Soldiers Stadium, Chicago 2016 and excel against the All Blacks, as for the All Blacks they would achieve their perfect season, but this story is far from over.

Good to see so many AB legends retire with a world cup win. It was painful to know that guys like Tana Umaga, Christian Cullen, Jonah Lomu and many more legends never got to hold a world cup trophy. Those AB teams were just as good or even better. But just sadly couldn't get it done.
